Hello Lantus people!

I went through the notebook containing Pelusa's life on Lantus tonight to refresh my memory about what I did right, what I did wrong. Of course I cried and remembered my little witch more deeply tonight. She left me over a year ago. Almost 4 years since Pelusa went into remission... Time flies, eh?

I did that because I'll be helping a friend of mine who just started her cat on Lantus tonight. She will probably not register on the board as her English is not good at all and her goal isn't remission (well, mine wasn't either...!). The cat has a pretty long history and we don't really have ideas of what to expect but I thouhgt that talking about him here, on this board where I found all the support and help I needed, would bring him luck!

He started at 414 before his first 0.5U shot and was at 365 at +3. She'll do a +6, just for curiosity, then go to bed. We know not much will happen out of the first shot!

So good luck to Sylvie and to her wonderful Émile, a huge 22 pound, 7 years old, short hair orange kitty boy!

Good luck to all your kitties! This is a great place to be! :)

good luck to Sylvie and Emile!

With you to help, I'm sure they will do well. We do have a couple of people who speak French who don't post here every day, but do hang out on Facebook. If Sylvie needs help in French, we should be able to find someone to help her.

Nathalie! Bonjour mon ami! i'll always remember your journey with Pelusa.
your friend is so lucky to have your help. let us know if there's anything we can do.

I knew I would still find friends here! Thank you for your support! :)

I don't know what Émile's journey on Lantus will look like but I know Sylvie will do her best and so will I to help her. I'm not sure she'd like me to say that publicly but she will soon undergo surgery, radio and probably chemo for breast cancer and I find her very brave to start treating Émile at this time. That's the reason why remission will not be a goal but at trying to keep him in a comfortable range for as long as possible. I saw the other "relaxed" Lantus section of the board but posted this here, in Pelusa's old condo, where I'm happy to see she is still remembered!

In case of doubt, I'll ask questions and probably post a little update from time to time.

Once again, thanks for your support and friendship.

Take care of yourselves and of your wonderful kitties! I never forgot you! :)
