Hi. Max had idiopathic hypertension. It is now known to be more common than realized. This is a really good article on it I think.

Is there a way to test for that at home? A blood pressure cuff is common anywhere but I've never seen a child size one. Tiny arms = tiny legs yes?
Am I oversimplifying this?

I bought the real deal like vets use refurbished but still spent a lot. You can get infant size cuffs. Sone people have bought cheap machines with varying degrees of success. I only used mine once to test it at my vet’s office. Then Max passed quickly. I still have it plugged in in case needed for my girls as they age.

I have both a doppler BG machine and good vet oscillometric machine. The Doppler is hard to use by ones self since you need one hand to operate manual cuff inflation/deflation and the other to hold the transducer on the artery. The oscillometric machine can be done ons self since you can use one hand to hold the cuff and the other to control the cat.
