I'm not sure what direction we are going in, but I decided to take Pippa in to the vets today for a reality check. She hasn't been doing great, but not super-terrible either. But the last couple days she is desperate to go outdoors - after not showing any interest in it in 15 years. So although I was going to put off any vet trip for the moment I decided to take her in. It's a weird behaviour change and the only thing I can think of is that either she is ready to go off and find a hiding place to die, or it's something kind of nutritional/digestive (since she is only eating baby food) and she has an instinct to eat grass or something.
Anyhow, I don't know, but I can't sit around all weekend with her acting pathetic and me not knowing what to do, so it's off to the vets. My fear of course is that the vet will tell me "it's time", that's why I didn't want to take her in today, I'd rather wait a few days. But I feel like maybe she is asking to go (I know that's wacky human reading into it stuff - no one "wants" to go).
So anyway, please say some prayers for her. I will update this afternoon. Maybe I can talk them into sending us home with an armful of Bupe.
