Going to be gone for a weekend

Hi, we are going to be gone the first weekend in May, and I'm not sure how to handle Bart's care.
My son will stay home cuz he has to work. But he works nights. He goes in at midnight and gets of at 8:30am.
I give him his shot at 7:30am and p.m. My son usually goes to bed about 3pm.
Any suggestions how to make it work?

One suggestion is to gradually move Bart's shot schedule closer to the times your son will be able to give the insulin. However, if that is not possible, as long as the shots are approximately 12 hours apart, Bart should be fine. Will your son be testing before each shot?

When you return, you can gradually return to your normal schedule. If that is not possible, you can skip a shot and then the next one would be at your normal time.

Gradually adjusting the schedule would be the best approach, however, we know that is not always possible.

Rearranging may work. How far apart, or how close together can the shots be given?

In general, as close to 12 hours apart as possible.
