This cats conspiring against me! I swear!!
PMPS was 202.
Fed him and tested 1/2 an hour later and he is 161.
If he doesnt make a move in the next half hour I cant shoot as I wont be here to monitor him.

It's good that you caught it before you had to leave for the day.

While you are out today you should start looking for the U100 syringes with the half unit markings, it will make these tiny doses easier to measure.

Yah. Looks like I will have to.
Well I shot him at about 100 higher than last night. Def in the safe zone.

I was just running some drops though the used syringe. Got a good idea of where 1 drop is.

I think you need a new game plan, Sev. Get some U100 needles and practice .1 and a drop. Then when you will be home to monitor, when he moves above 200, give a drop. Once you see how it reacts to that, you will not need to wait until he jumps into the 400s.

It is frustrating. He seems to be a kitty that once the insulin is gone, it is gone. But he also surfs forever when the dose is too high.

I should have shot at +1 but not being home all day had me worried. He zigs when I zag you know. ;-)

Your baby has my banging my head against the wall! ohmygod_smile

Kitty laughs at your .3u units and throws his tail up in your general direction!!! :-D

Did you get the U100 syringes with the half unit markings? That is the only way you are going to be able to accurately measure the micro doses that you will need to start shooting.

My next move would be to go to .2u.

Not yet.
+14 is 137.

I am breaking out the bourbon.

Bourbon? Want a guest?!

I am a wine fan, but good bourbon works!!!

I wonder how long the surf will last.

Sipping or course.

Kind of curious myself.

You have a GREAT problem to be dealing with! Don't be alarmed if you have a big spike in the morning. The good news is, you are getting a great response to the insulin. It is just a matter of fine tuning your dose.

He is also still on antibiotics so I am still expecting some whacky numbers.

He was 202 at 2:30AM and surfed all the was to 246 for the AMPS.

I eyeballed .25 this morning. Figured he would spike right after eating.
That was a nice long slow fall and climb though.

Kitty just decided to finish his morning food.
It should be interesting to see what if anything it does to his numbers. Have a 1/2 hour till the next test.

Just wanted to add he didnt finish it all. There was about an oz there and he ate half.

But good info. So maybe a fat .25 will give you longer duration but nice shootable numbers at ps. You can stay at .25 at preshot for another cycle to see if things change downward or try the fat dose. (just a smidgen more than the .25 but not .3 - really hard to do without U100 needles and the conversion chart.)

I hear ya.
Getting ready to do the +10 reading. I have a feeling its not going to be pretty.
You know if he would go long for 24 hours 1 shot a day would not be a bad thing.
I think he could have pulled it off yesterday if I had shot an hour earlier.
