How long have you been feeding the Fruitables? It's possible that it's causing gas given the amount of fiber.

Thanks for responding Sienne :-D I gave him about 1/2 tsp. of Fruitables Saturday night, then 1 tsp. yesterday and 1/4 tsp. today.

Also, here's a clip from my linked post, which may be helpful:

Before the switch to Merrick's, he was eating foods higher in fat and lower in protein.

There are just so many variables and changes that I'm not sure what to make of all this and now unsure if the switch to Merrick's and Fruitables is the right choice. If his next poo is formed/firm, I suppose I should not give him any more Fruitables...

Any suggestions? I am tempted to put him back on ReNew probiotic **Note: He took his last dose of Flagyl today (ending 2 pills a day for 10 days) and he has not had ReNew nor Metamucil since 9/5, last Thursday**

I know with a probiotic, starting to too large of an amount can cause some GI discomfort. It's the same with fiber. Like BJ posted on Health, by changing several variables, you don't know which one is causing a change.

Yeah...I shouldn't have made so many multi changes...but I did. So no more Fruitables for now: just the Merrick Grammy Pot Pie and homemade shredded chicken/broth (skinless, boneless chicken which has been cooked in water, then shredded in a blender). His appetite isn't great today. I've been doing some belly palpitating (about a dozen strokes before he had enough), as "Barb & Mr. Frog" had recommended in my linked post:

"You can help relieve his gas (if that's what is bugging him) by stroking along his back (from the ribs towards his tail) with your fingers/thumb putting some light pressure on the sides as you go, always only stroke towards the tail... this helps sometimes with constipation too..."

Any suggestions as to what I should do next? Keep food regimen the same?

Thanks for your input.

I'm glad Gobbles' diarrhea is better. I hope you can figure out what is causing his belly to be upset. Sending prayers to you and Gobbles.

Hi Carla :-D Thank you for your visit here. He had a near-normal poo this am (48 hours from last poo, which was diarrhea).

I think it prudent that if anyone would like to post something other than kind wishes, we should keep this conversation (linked above) in the Main board. I am so appreciative to everyone.
