Hello all, we are back with a question. Trouble our cat , has been doing fantastic with his diabetes, and we have done many curves , and daily pricks to check his levels.
All was going great until last Tuesday.
We have been dosing him 2xday , and he has been very consistent , with 70 to 90 glucose. OK. Since last Tuesday we have stopped the insulin, because he has stayed at 70 . HOWEVER...NOW for the last 4 days he's been at 46 to 49. ???? Not sure what's going on. He's acting normal, and eats good at night , but not much during the day. Any ideas why he's now stuck in the high 40's , since we stopped the injections 4 days ago? Thanks.

PS When he got sick, he was down to 13 pounds ...now that the tube has been out and he's been healing and almost 100% he's been gaining weight, and now is up to 15.2 pounds

It's totally normal for a cat's BG to be in the 40's...we just don't like it when they are getting extra insulin because it doesn't leave much "wiggle room" for safety

I've tested both my civvies and their BG has run as low as the high 30's!!
