Lily has finally come to the point of accepting home testing of blood glucose. Yeah. I thought this point would never come. I normally feed her 1 can of fancy feast twice a day at both of the insulin injections (2 units caninsulin). A few times when I take the level she is in the normal range so I can't give her insulin but then the next time I test her she is high. Should I decrease the amount of food I give her when she is in the normal range and by how much to keep her from going high. Thanks.

No don't feed her less! She should be getting at least her ideal weight x 20 to figure out calories. You may have to slightly decrease her dose to get two shootable numbers. Do you have a chart you can share of her numbers?
