My kitcat just diagnosed with Diabetes. Am researching glucometers online and need more feedback from glucometers users here. I understand the ReliOn Micro glucometers from Walmart are being discontinued. I called all my local Walmart’s and none carry this. Not sure if the ReliOn Confirm glucometers are also on the way out. Anyone know about that? Of course I am focusing on the cost of the strips because there is such wide variation from monitor to monitor. Do most of you use the Freestyle Lite? I don’t plan on getting the monitors specifically designed for pets; just the human ones...one site I looked at gave the ReliOn Confirm 3 stars out of 5 and I think it was Consumers Reports. Any suggestions, recommendations?

The Confirm and the Micro have both been discontinued (for what reason, we don't know!!)

A lot of people are using the Prime or Premier now (available at WalMart)….they take a little larger sample size than the Confirm/Micro but you can't beat the price of strips at $9/50

I started with the Premier Compact and then got the Premier Voice, and I like the voice a lot.
Even as a newb I only got an error a few times and two of those times were from neosporin lol.

The Voice one tells you the time, and temperature when you test , and it shows you the average test results for 30 days, 14 days, 7 days and for the current day. I like that :)

And she talks lol. I like that while I'm comforting my little guy and pressing his ear with the cotton ball she's telling me what the result is so the curiosity doesn't distract me lol
