I record his numbers in the log book because I don't always have my laptop booted up to his spreadsheet and sometimes there's even a couple of days in a row (usually on the weekends) when I don't even log into any computer to update his spreadsheet. I hate my new iPhone, so even if I could update by phone, I'd probably end up throwing it across the room first before getting any numbers correctly entered into his spreadsheet on there. Plus, it helps me get an idea at a quick glance if I haven't been testing him very much throughout the day (because the numbers aren't spread out over hours) and I record his food and weight in it as well, things that I only put on the spreadsheet if they're impacting BGs for some reason. It also makes it easy for me to take into work and update from my work computer and makes it easy to look back over days, weeks, or months without having to have internet access.
For someone who spends +8 hours a day working in Software, I seem to be a complete troglodyte in my personal life. :?
