Please send eating vines to Ginger.
She was released from the ER on Thursday. She was on another antibiotic which I didn't get the name of at the ER, and came home with Clavamox. She was given Metronidazole (for soft stool) at the ER and her poo was liquid the one time I saw it here. I think? that has cleared up as we stopped the Clavamox after I talked to the ER vet on Friday when her urine culture came back clear.
I gave her cyproheptadine on Friday and yesterday, and some Mirataz today after she ate only a little breakfast this morning. It didn't help. She ate some of her favorite treats and refused all else.
I have a whole unopened bottle of Ensure but she hates that stuff and it didn't work the one dose of it she had way back when.
She had a regular vet appointment yesterday and got a shot of Darbepoetin and an Iron injection.
I am loosing it, from lack of sleep and not eating myself, so sorry if I'm scatter brained.

She was 9lbs 2oz on the vet's scale yesterday and 8lbs 11oz on my scale this afternoon, which I guess is about a 3oz can of Fancy Feast. I just need her to eat!!!!!

These are the meds she is currently getting:

Sending lots of positive vibes :bighug:

I’m glad she’s looking better!
I don’t have a lot to add as it looks like she’s on plenty of meds for nausea…humans often get upset stomachs with antibiotics but she needs her meds so…

My Tammuz gets an upset stomach after his levothyroxine (soloxine) if I make him wait a minute past 20 min. (Although I have to wait longer with my synthroid and do ok). And while I didn’t ask permission of my vet and I have no idea if it would be ok, when he stopped eating I let him go a couple of days without it. Humans forget to take their synthroid on occasion and if they’ve been on it long term one missed day is ok for the species that walks upright.

I’ve found fortiflora really entices my boys to eat (sprinkled on top like salt, not stirred in)

I’m just seeing this and glad she’s better. Cyproheptadine will negate mirtazapine and mirataz fyi. Sounds like she doesn’t need either atm which is good news. :bighug:
