Georgie's front legs

One more thing that has been bothering me/on my mind. Maybe I am crazy but I feel like Georgie's front legs bend a little funny. It seems that like he is using the whole part of his paw (touching the "thumb" part of his paw to the ground) to walk. I have observed my other cat and he just walks on the top part of his paw. I keep his claws trimmed so I know it's not that. I am just worried that his bones could be weak or paws sore from blood testing. Do I need to give him a multivitamin? Is this normal? What can I do for him? I have attached a picture of his front paws that shows how they bend abnormally. Any help is much appreciated.

Are you giving any methylcobalamin? That is a specific form of Vitamin B-12. Vitacost makes a capsule without added sweeteners of any kind that you can just sprinkle into the food.

It can help if the problem is diabetic neuropathy. Do check with your vet to rule out other problems.

Looks like he has a little diabetic neuropathy although normally its in the back legs it can happen in the front. Methyl B 12 helps with that although it will usually resolve by itself as he gets in lower more regulated numbers.

I haven't checked with the vet about this issue. It startled me tonight and I did some googling and found out that it could be diabetic neuropathy. I have not heard of methylcobalamin. I don't think the vet noticed his legs because he has to be put under when he goes to the vet (he gets a little on edge). Should I check with the vet before getting methyl b12? Is this a shot that the vet gives? Where can I get this supplement? Oh lord, I can't thank you guys enough for your help. I would be lost without you all.

Sammy had that same thing, in her back legs, at diagnosis. She walked like a drunken hooker, my husband used to say. Her whole back end waddled back and forth. Now that she is regulated, she is back up on her toes, walking like a little prim Miss.

Oh that is so good to hear! Good for Sammy!! I emailed my vet and hopefully I can get an appointment tomorrow!

I am pretty sure that is all it is. Try the B12, as others have suggested, and see if that helps (no prescription needed). Just make sure you get the right kind.

B vitamins are pretty safe - they're water soluble and any excess is excreted via the kidneys.

He does seem to be standing low on his hocks on the front feet. The Zobaline by Lifelink could be helpful.
