I will try to get some good nadir readings tonight, but I am wondering if I should up his dose .25 units. All of my previous measurements have been lower than in actuality since I have been subtracting 80 points (silly me). Let me know what you all think. Thanks!
 
I would not up his dose if he were mine, until I had more data about how low he is going. It is absolutely essential to base dose increases on the nadir, and you just dont have that information.
 
Lets leave the dose alone for now until we have more data of his actual numbers as well as some of those nadir readings. As Linda said with Lantus dosing changes are made off the nadir readings and you just don't have those data points yet.

Sounds good. I will have a cat sitter this weekend and I will try to get him to get some good nadir readings otherwise I have Monday off and will test frequently.
