I know it's been a while, but I wanted to drop in and update everyone.

I live in Montreal, which is the hardest hit city in Canada. So things have been a bit rough. I've been able to get enough supplies for the two tests per day, but nothing more. And even that has sometimes required multiple trips.

George's bg has been up and down and all over the place. Sometimes so high I'm in a panic, yet this morning I get home from work and he's in the normal range. FYI, I've not been keeping the spreadsheet up to date lately since ENTRIES ARE DISAPPEARING! It's weird. Sometimes right away, sometimes they're there for days and the poof, gone.

I just got a new phone yesterday, so I'm going to take the time later and update the spreadsheet. I've been keeping a log in a notebook, and I'm going to keep doing that for a while. Especially since some of the entries I lost were the last few tests on a curve test.

My vet hasn't been open since the end of March (except for emergencies) so I've not been able to call in the numbers. I'm hoping that will change soon though.

Just want to be clear, I am an essential service employee, so I have been working this entire time. It's been unbelievably stressful. That's why I vanished for a bit.

P. S. Georgie has been getting some of his "kitten behaviour" back. I'm taking that as a good sign.

WELCOME BACK! We dont know each other but my name is Jeanne. With all you have been through and the essential job...Its sounds like Georgie is doing well"kitten behavior" is ALWAYS good. :bighug:

Once you get your SS up to date and squared away I/m sure the experts would love to help you figure out the "all over the place" thing
Again WELCOME BACK TO FDMB!;):coffee:

Thank you. It's good to be back

Nancy, are you fully recovered from the car accident you were in?
I think right around then was the last we saw of you.

Keep yourself safe Nancy. :bighug::bighug::bighug:

Thank you for asking. I'm fine now. Just trying to make it through this pandemic without getting sick. Sometimes I wish I weren't an essential service employee. Then I could stay home and take care of Georgie and play video games lol

Allo Nancy, I live in Sherbrooke, Qc :) I am a new member here and Bee's BG numbers are not the best so i totally understand your panic. Sorry if i can't help but i am happy to meet another Quebecoise!
Welcome and nice to meet you. How are things up your way? Just having someone around to talk to and knows what we're all going through with our kitties is a huge help

Are you me? :P i also work at an essential service (but on sick leave atm) and sadly don't have the energy to play video games...so i am watching Let's Play :)

Things are not great here either...and it's the worst time to have a baby with diabetes. Nobody could show me how to do the injection at the vet clinic and they never told me about doing testing BG at home. I am running out of strips too for my meter...I do have 100 strips for a Freestyle lite and can't return them :P

Oof, I feel your pain. I had to go to three different pharmacies to get strips. And they warned me not to do curve tests because there's no guarantee of getting more right away. One guy even said that they have to worry about humans first before cats. I wanted to tear his throat out!

ah ok, i am on PC. Not sure what kind of games you like but "What Remains Of Edith Finch" is also on ps4...It's an amazing game/walking sim. Going to bed now but if you need anything, i am not far :)
I may have that game. Not sure. My pile of shame keeps growing. I've been hooked on the MMO, Elder Scrolls Online for years now. Have a good night.
