Three nice preshots in a row - looking good, George! So it might, or might not  tell us that he takes a couple of days to stop bouncing and settle into a new dose.

I know there's only so much we can do but it stinks to get great results one day and then the numbers go up again the next and everything environment-wise was the same

PMPS 502

Gave the shot a little early in preparation for having to give early in the morning due to extenuating circumstances.

I know it can be really discouraging, watching those higher numbers. Been there, done that, and still have the t-shirt.

One thing that helped me through it was watching the trend instead of individual numbers. Knowing other things, things we have no control over, can cause numbers to be wonky helped too.

You can see the insulin is working, as his numbers do drop after his shots...so that's good. You can see how his numbers rise after eating, and that's normal too. Also, many cats will show higher numbers as the insulin is used up and it's closer to the next shot time. Don't forget, George's body is getting used to having the help of the insulin again, something his disease deprived him of. Once his body adjusts to having the help, things will settle down.
