Garland negative ketones and a Saturday update :)

KETONES ARE NEGATIVE!!!! dancing_cat dancing_cat dancing_cat

YAY!!. Dr Hill wasnt in today, so the tech told me the ketone result. She also said there was bilirubin and glucose in the urine, but that was to be expected with the FHL. The Dr will call me tomorrow once he looks at the results. But the #1 thing is we are officially out of DKA!

So we are trying to pull her out of FHL. Shes still very lethargic, but holding down her food. Thanks everyone for everything!

Just wanted to give you another update. Saturday 8/20

Garland seems to be perkier today. She moved out of the closet and is actually laying sprawled out in the bathroom right now. (as opposed to that meatloaf/sphinx position) Shes looking around now, when before she just kept her head down, and gazed at the floor. Shes still not really moving around much though. She threw up a little last night sometime while I was sleeping. Not sure what caused it. It seemed to be a few hours after she ate. Her BS numbers are still pretty high, even with the dose increase. But shes fighting!

So Im getting hopeful that maybe we turned a corner today :smile: Hopefully it will only go up from here!

I am feeding her through the tube every 3-4 hours. Ive been trying to do it more frequently to get more calories in her. FHL is so tramatic. I cant believe what this has done to her. I really hope she feels like her old self again really soon. I miss my spunky, loud kitty
