And yes, feel free to increase when you are able to monitor. It's not unusual for a cat to have a strong initial reaction to a new insulin, then to need more. Garfield was on 1.25 units of Lantus after all.

Depending on when the cat's onset is, it's not unusual to go up after preshot. Neko's was at +5, so she's often go up until then.

With that +5 im wondering if I injected correctly. Im sure the needle went in :(

I feel like im getting allot of tests in, maybe less recently because he has been so high. But Im made sure to test around his nadir. Obviously not at night if when I test last he is high I don't put an alarm to wake up in the middle of the night.
