I decided since his pmps was 299 and at +3 He was 203 I decided ok I'm gonna go to bed early won't test at +5 Since he was good. The one night I decide this plus to give his ears a rest he drops to 59 at +7 retest at +715 (15 minutes later) he drops to 52. Grrr ok gave him snack of ff pate retest at +7.5 He is 59.. I know dark greens are good but how low is not. I know 2.7 is not good so should I be worried I guess what I'm saying is when this low do I just give pate snack and test every 15 minutes make sure goes up or do I give hypo food

Update. Retested at +8 up to 70
Gets shot in 4 hours guess he will be getting .1 again

Hi Rebecca. That was quite a drop for Garfie! Glad you caught it. He is liable to bounce higher for this AM's shot. You must be a night owl with all the testing you do through the PM cycle, LOL.

With lower numbers, ( ones that are approaching the 50's, I consider where in the cycle that number is. For instance if it is around nadir I give a little LC snack to boost up just like you did. And then if that boost him back up 15 -20 points I would feel comfortable to get some sleep.

As time goes on, you will see Garfie's pattern's and how he responds to steering him back and you will get more comfortable with it.
