Gallstones

Hi everyone, we made it through a nightmare here in Florida, and I'm not just talking about the hurricane. I barley got our shutter up, our neighbors could care less and after the storm threw dead braches on our sidewalk, but I can't worry about that now. A vet said Perkins has Gallstones, I asked about Actigall but he said that could make the Gallbladder contract and the stones could get stuck in the duct. Does anyone now a good treatment for gallstones?

I don't believe I've ever heard of a cat having gallstones. Seems like surgery would be the only option but what did the vet advise to do?
