Gabapentin question

What form is it in, capsule, tablet, or liquid? It is a short acting drug, one of my moms cats was on it for pain management. He was taking tablets because her vet told her the liquid had sugar in it and would raise his BG's.
You cld search for posts about this med at the top of this page in right hand corner.

It's a drug taken by some cats with acromegaly for pain management. I tried the pills for a while with Neko. No impact on her blood sugar, and unfortunately did't help her arthritis pain much either.

I never heard of gabapentin being use as an anti-inflammatory drug. Googling did not reveal that it had any anti-inflammatory properties.
I have one cat on gabapentin for arthritis. I am also using it for nerve pain.
The oily, chicken flavor could be the cause of the raised BG or it could be due the underlying problem that is necessitating use of the gabapentin

Sorry yes for pain reliever. I thought my vet said anti inflammatory but I had 7 meds and 5 days of her not eating so probably was not hearing everything. Ty for clarification
