Future of auto feeders? Rambling/thoughts. Reccomendations?

I recently purchased 2 used PetSafe 5 meal auto feeders on Mercari, which I highly suggest, I've been finding a lot of good deals on used and sometimes new merchandise.
Anyway, Thomas took to it immediately. Hidee however is still confused and keeps refusing to eat her food. Surprisingly it's not because of the noise and not exactly because of the size but just simply she's confused, about what exactly, I don't know.
It could also be because it doesn't stay very cool and she's very finicky about food that's not at the usual temperature she usually eats it or just food that's sat there because she doesn't go and eat it immediately (which is her own fault honestly).
She'll eat or lick it barely then just stare at and/or walk away. Sometimes she won't even bother with the food but still just stare at it or leave.
Thomas is of course taking advantage of this and stealing her food so she's going hungry for longer. Also, he acts MORE hungry now even though he's getting the same amount as always and actually on time now.:banghead:
I'm thinking of making Hidee a little cardboard house that only she can fit through to eat in peace but I bet Thomas will chew through it to get to the food. Yes, he is in fact that food driven.
I guess they both need more time to get used to them. Any tips, suggestions, or recommendations on auto feeders that will stay cooler?
I was looking at auto feeder reviews and I think the catmate c500 looks a little more promising with the ice packs that cool most of the surface compared to the petsafe. While I was looking at said reviews I saw a video on a prototype called the catzenpup. It looks like a great autofeeder that could definitely be the future of fresh wet/raw food auto feeders. I'm most interested in the catzenpup 9000 and I think it's a fantastic idea to be able to feed our pets fresh healthier food when we're away or simply on time so our pets are content. Funnily enough I was thinking of my own ideas for wet food auto feeders when I stumbled upon it. What do you guys think?

I know there are feeders that open only, with a "collar tag" specific to each pet. Sounds very expensive to me but I doubt that will help to ease confusion. GOOD LUCK !
Very interesting thread I will be watching for more comments.

Yeah, I'm saving up for the surefeed microchip feeder connect. It's nearly $200 but would help the most for the food stealing. Then again he might break it just to get the food, hard to tell whether I should get something so expensive or not considering.
