Hello everyone. I hope you are having a good day. I need some advice. Unfortunately I may have given 1 or possible 2 fur shots in a row (last night and this morning). Can one of you come to NY and help me give the shot?

 My numbers have been really high. I don't think it could be a bounce? Could a bounce look that that?

Anyway, should I now hold my 1.75 longer because of this? I am really disappointed. I wonder how long it will take me to get back on track?

If it hasn't been 6 successive shots at the same dose, then yes, I think you'll need to hold until you've reached that again.

The TR protocol is long; if you print it out, you can highlight sections or ask specific questions about it.

ETA: barring ketones. If you see trace ketones, along with high nadirs, I suspect increasing sooner rather than later may be appropriate, as well as watching like a hawk for other signs she needs to get to a vet asap. Like if she stops eating.

The basic rule of thumb is that you give any change in dose (and that includes a fur shot, a skipped shot, a temporarily reduced dose along with increases or decreases) 6 cycles/3 days to settle. The protocol is based on consecutive doses.

Jill's post on counting cycles may help.

Please come down, Lovey. We'd like to see you in some yellows and more blues please.
