Fur shot

I am absolutely sure Corky got a fur shot when I pulled out the syringe it was bent and fur wet! what happens now?
 
You just have to wait it out. He will get his next shot in the am, at the regular shot time.

Did Corky ever have a libre? Asking because I use the area that was shaved on my cat for his libre to inject. It helps me be able to see where I am inserting the needle. I have the trimmers because I placed a libre on my cat myself. I will shave a small area again when his hair grows back. I also use a head lamp that I typically use outdoors when I'm having trouble seeing. It helps a lot.

Never thought of that yes he still has a bit clearance from The libre sensor! Thanks
 
You still want to tee pee his skin, but that area that was shaven is shorter and much easier to see. You are welcome.
 
It is how I was taught. Pull up on the skin and a 'teepee' or a triangle of skin will form. Inject at the base of your teepee or traingle. If you aren't familiar, continue to do his injections how you always have, just use the area with less hair so you can see where you are inserting.

It was definitely a fur shot, will really know by PMPS+4
 
I hope Corky stays on the lower end tonight. Fur shots happen to people often so don't be hard on yourself about it. You'll be able to sleep soundly this evening with no worry of him dropping low. Take advantage of the stress free evening. I would stay away from med carb tonight if it was me and still test before bedtime.

Done! I did what you requested, just tested he has gone down to 281, I know is going to be quite a busy weekend. Enjoy your Holiday with your family. We will be OK. We celebrate Christmas Eve is a Spanish tradition, I will be home before 10:30PM to be on the safe side I was invited by my next door, a neighbor, I have no family, but my babies. Enjoy yours
