Yo cats and kittens of all ages

It’s time for everyone to gather together for the full moon pawty! Tonight, we celebrate the full Sturgeon Moon! Our celebration tonight will be huge as it is also a Blue Moon AND a Supermoon! Of course there will be traditional favorites as purrpared by my mentors, Chef Felix, Chef Rusty, and the Kitchen Krews of yore at Sturgeon Moons past:

Appetizers: Moon Microbrews; Moontinis and other delicious cocktails; Caviar on Nip Crackers; Assorted Paw Prints Pizzas with Green Cheese; Egg Rolls; Sushi Bar with the specialties of Sushi Chef Tux and featuring Chef Neko's fabulous sushi rolls.

Entrees: Sturgeon Chowder; Shad Roe; Grilled Lake Trout; Flying Squirrel Kabobs; Michigans (red hotdogs with meat sauce--a Northern NY specialty); Chef Rusty's Thunderin' Bison Chili with Fresh Moonberry Salsa; Mousehead Stew (fresh-caught mousies: come early to help hunt); Chef Mannie's Renowned PNW Poached Sockeye Salmon with Nip Mayo.

Salads: Butthead's & Donny's Adirondack Field Greens; Moonshine Slaw; Chef Felix's Sweet and Savory Crunchy Crouton Toppers.

Desserts: Moon Pies; Maggie's Signature Cheesecakes with Wild Blueberries; Tobey's Cimmamoon Cookies; Moondrop Torte à la Chief Pastry Chef Tess; Surprise Dessert à la Dessert Chef Sootie; Chef Stu's World Famous Catmint Parfaits.

Newer traditions include Bubba's MouseMousse; Leo's Chunky Tuna and Salmon Ice Cream with Sardine Sprinkles; Olive's Shoelaceghetti with a side of pickles; TinySolé's sister Cookie's cod brownies filled with catnip; PussCatDusty's crispy birds feet served on baked catnip wafers (mmmmm, crunchy!) as well as her sweet and sour skink tail vol-au-vents & freeze dried plain yoghurt balls; Chef Felix's Mediterranean platter with crunchy falafel, catmint mewli-tabouli, and smoked papurrika hummouse; Chieflet Luna's Longtail Surprise à la Rosa and Regan; KitKat’s Duck pate stuffed cupcakes with catnip icing, served at mousie temperature. Hit the Bella Memorial Tiki Hut for Bella's specialties, including catinis and sardine smoothies.

In honor of the origin of the name of tonight’s Full Sturgeon Moon, our special menu tonight is taken from traditional North American Indian cuisine. We have Pine Nut Crusted Catfish; Cedar Plank Salmon; Buffalo Ribs; Pueblo Pork Roast; Trout with Fiddlehead Ferns; Succotash; Pemmican made from a variety of meats and fish (the venison is my favorite); and Wojapi Sauce. Do make sure to try a little of everything!

The Taster Blankets have been set up just a little away from the hustle and bustle, and we’ll find you a spot on them where you can enjoy the pawty in comfort if you’re not feeling up to dancing. They're the purrfect place to view the Circle of Remembrance at midnight, when the veil thins and we can purrceive our loved ones who have Gone Ahead partying with us. Olive’s Memorial Blanket can be found here too. Kitchen Liaison Roxi will make sure the quality of the food is everything you hope for.

Our very own in-house dance troupe, “Ruby and the Kittens” are already getting warmed up ready to dance the night away. They manage to come up with new and challenging routines every time to entertain you all. They’d love to have you join in and dance with them. Maybe you can teach them your favorite moves too!

It’s time to get this party started! Head on over and join us for a day and night of fun!

And, as always, we have our new aprons to wear.

Chef Luna

Time for another Sturgeon Full Moon already? And it’s a blue moon to boot. How time flies. Looks like the Krew have a great menu planned as usual!

Iz comin’ can’t wait to get my usual favourites: Chef Rusty’s thunderin’ bison Chili (woo wee it’s got some good kick, watch out newbies ;)) and Bubba’s mouse mousse, oh wait, and then there’s also Chef Felix’s Mediterranean platter, and Chef Neko’s sushi rolls. Decisions decisions. Mama sez I can have ‘em all as long as I brush my toofies before Iz get in for cuddles when Iz get home, or at least pop a breath mint ;)

Time certainly does seem to fly these days. I'm sure I blinked once too often and missed most of the summer!

Roxi will make you a special plate with all your favorites...and maybe a few new things to try too. And you can dance with Ruby and the Kittens to burn off some calories to make space for a second round of food! We should set out a tray of breath mints for everyone to have right before they head home in the morning - I'll get the Krew on that right now! ~Chef Luna

Gather round kitties. It's time - time for our favorite part of every Full Moon pawty. It's time for the Circle of Remembrance. The moon is so big and bright tonight that we're sure to have a great view of all our GAs pawtying alongside us at the Bridge. Soon, our pawty will resume and we will dance and feast until dawn. But now, let's stop the music and the dancing. The Kitchen Krew will be taking a short break to join the Circle. And let's make the most of every moment with our GA loved ones. I can see the Bridge pawty coming into view now... ~Chef Luna

I got a text from Ivan saying he spent a couple hours in the Kitchen this evening, "helping" them make extra platters of Pine Nut Crusted Catfish after he polished off two whole platters all by himself. I put "helping" in quotes because I just know he was getting distracted by playing with the fiddlehead ferns. So thank you, Chef Luna, for your patience with your exuberant Guest Sous Cheflet! I'm sure he's hopping around all excited about wearing an apron.

Looks like Mav's longtime passion for Chef Rusty's Thunderin' Bison Chili is leading to a new tradition. MaverMints?

Yo Kitties, civie Gus here. I'm late to the party because I caught a mouse. I was going to bring it to the party so that Chef Luna could grill it, but I ate it. The menu tonight looks great. My mouse was a small one, so I think of it as an appetizer. Bring on Rusty's Thunderin' Bison Chili!
Party on! Almost time for the Circle of Remembrance.

The Krew has been loving having Ivan helping us. He's so much fun! And we're so happy that he enjoyed the Pine Nut Crusted Catfish so much. We're happy to have him on the Krew any time, whether it's for the whole night or just for an hour or two.

I think you might be right. I do think we must add these to the menu for our future pawties. ~Chef Luna

Ella, just think, if only it wasn't party night and if only the mouse wasn't on the small side, Gus would've been able to share with you! (I guess it's your lucky day.)

I hope your mouse was yummy Gus the Mouser. Don't worry - we have plenty more mousies for everyone. And a huge pot of Rusty's Thunderin' Bison Chili - it's a favorite with all of us. ~Chef Luna

So glad Ivan isn't too much trouble in the Kitchen, Chef Luna. At home, he bites my calves and the tops of my feet a lot when I'm working in the kitchen, so I have to keep stopping to give hugs.

And the post-party mints are the invention we didn't know we needed.
