Yo cats and kittens of all ages
It’s time for everyone to gather together for the full moon pawty! Tonight, we celebrate the full Sturgeon Moon! Our celebration tonight will be huge as it is also a Blue Moon AND a Supermoon! Of course there will be traditional favorites as purrpared by my mentors, Chef Felix, Chef Rusty, and the Kitchen Krews of yore at Sturgeon Moons past:
Appetizers: Moon Microbrews; Moontinis and other delicious cocktails; Caviar on Nip Crackers; Assorted Paw Prints Pizzas with Green Cheese; Egg Rolls; Sushi Bar with the specialties of Sushi Chef Tux and featuring Chef Neko's fabulous sushi rolls.
Entrees: Sturgeon Chowder; Shad Roe; Grilled Lake Trout; Flying Squirrel Kabobs; Michigans (red hotdogs with meat sauce--a Northern NY specialty); Chef Rusty's Thunderin' Bison Chili with Fresh Moonberry Salsa; Mousehead Stew (fresh-caught mousies: come early to help hunt); Chef Mannie's Renowned PNW Poached Sockeye Salmon with Nip Mayo.
Salads: Butthead's & Donny's Adirondack Field Greens; Moonshine Slaw; Chef Felix's Sweet and Savory Crunchy Crouton Toppers.
Desserts: Moon Pies; Maggie's Signature Cheesecakes with Wild Blueberries; Tobey's Cimmamoon Cookies; Moondrop Torte à la Chief Pastry Chef Tess; Surprise Dessert à la Dessert Chef Sootie; Chef Stu's World Famous Catmint Parfaits.
Newer traditions include Bubba's MouseMousse; Leo's Chunky Tuna and Salmon Ice Cream with Sardine Sprinkles; Olive's Shoelaceghetti with a side of pickles; TinySolé's sister Cookie's cod brownies filled with catnip; PussCatDusty's crispy birds feet served on baked catnip wafers (mmmmm, crunchy!) as well as her sweet and sour skink tail vol-au-vents & freeze dried plain yoghurt balls; Chef Felix's Mediterranean platter with crunchy falafel, catmint mewli-tabouli, and smoked papurrika hummouse; Chieflet Luna's Longtail Surprise à la Rosa and Regan; KitKat’s Duck pate stuffed cupcakes with catnip icing, served at mousie temperature. Hit the Bella Memorial Tiki Hut for Bella's specialties, including catinis and sardine smoothies.
In honor of the origin of the name of tonight’s Full Sturgeon Moon, our special menu tonight is taken from traditional North American Indian cuisine. We have Pine Nut Crusted Catfish; Cedar Plank Salmon; Buffalo Ribs; Pueblo Pork Roast; Trout with Fiddlehead Ferns; Succotash; Pemmican made from a variety of meats and fish (the venison is my favorite); and Wojapi Sauce. Do make sure to try a little of everything!
The Taster Blankets have been set up just a little away from the hustle and bustle, and we’ll find you a spot on them where you can enjoy the pawty in comfort if you’re not feeling up to dancing. They're the purrfect place to view the Circle of Remembrance at midnight, when the veil thins and we can purrceive our loved ones who have Gone Ahead partying with us. Olive’s Memorial Blanket can be found here too. Kitchen Liaison Roxi will make sure the quality of the food is everything you hope for.
Our very own in-house dance troupe, “Ruby and the Kittens” are already getting warmed up ready to dance the night away. They manage to come up with new and challenging routines every time to entertain you all. They’d love to have you join in and dance with them. Maybe you can teach them your favorite moves too!
It’s time to get this party started! Head on over and join us for a day and night of fun!
And, as always, we have our new aprons to wear.
