Yo Kitties, It's here: The Full Strawberry Moon!! And tonight Neko and Tiger are hosting our Full Strawberry Moon Party in Vancouver BC. All kitties invited to come and celebrate. New kitties are especially welcome. The full moon parties are a FDMB L&LL tradition. The strawberries are ripe in Vancouver, so they will be so fresh and good. We will dance and sing our songs. The Blue Mannie Group will play for the dancing. We will fish in the river and the ocean. We will ride the SKYRIDE to the top of the ridge, where we will have a great view of the full moon (even if it rains, we'll be closer to the moon up there). And, best of all, we'll have our Circle of Remembrance, where we honor our GAs and hope to catch a glimpse of them as they celebrate the full moon at the Bridge. Here's the party menu:

Appetizers: Strawberry Microbrews; Strawberry Sangria; Strawberry Daiquiris; Strawberry Mojitos and other delicious cocktails prepared by L&LL Bartender, Noodle; Pink Shrimp in Nip Wontons dipped in Strawberry Salsa; Assorted Paw Prints Pizzas; Sushi Bar manned by L&LL Sushi Chefs Neko and Tess, featuring fresh river and ocean fish caught by YOU!
Entrees: Lulu's Sardine Souffle with Strawberry Garnish; Grilled Sausage with Strawberry Mustard; Lamb Kabobs; Rotisserie Chicken with Strawberries and Rosemary; Chef Rusty's Thunderin' Bison Chili with Strawberry Salsa; Big Mac's Burger Extravaganza with The Works (and strawberry-balsamic catsup); Chef Mannie's Renowned PNW Poached Sockeye Salmon with Nip Mayo (no strawberries!).
Salads: Butthead's and Donny's British Columbia Field Greens with Wild Strawberries; Chicken, Strawberry and Kale Salad with Ginger-lime Dressing.
Desserts: Maggie's Signature Cheesecakes with Strawberry Topping; Tobey's Cimmamum Cookies; L&LL Chief Pastry Chef Tess's Surprise Strawberry Creation; Chef Stu's World Famous Catmint Parfaits.

Dat menu sound yummy. We iz on our way. Mama sez we got to bring Licorice dis time cuz she keeps waking mama up at 5 am so we got to make her too tired to wake up so early. She iz a pain - we might have to leave her in Canada after the party if she makes us too mad! - Rosa and Regan
 
Yikes Neko- it's rainin' down here(which we desparately needed!!) - hope the skies are clearer up your way! But I'm on my way too--save me a spot by the sushi table!!!~ Tiger :cat:

Yo Skooter lets jump the train to get there! We can pick up the mountain cats along the way!
Momma says I have to watch for her "little old man" Scooter when the rainbow bridge kitties show up.
Remember no eating carbs!
 
I think the bus just arrived a while ago. Neko scampered on out of here without telling me where she was going. Maybe she was trying to sneak out without Theo. :rolleyes: There was a little rain overnight, but none today. It's cloudy but the sky might be clearing a bit in time for the moon, then the rains are forecast back after the party is over. There should be a good view from the top of the Grouse Mountain Skyride.

I hope you all brought fishing rods. Da bean says she's seen fish hopping in the ocean, even big ones! Fresh salmon for those sushi knives. Co-host Tiger has done a fab job setting up the food tables. There might be tree rats near the compost for Tillie. ~Neko
 
Lulu just up and took off without a word, just like Neko, leaving behind the odour of Simply Scrumptious Sardine Souffle o_O The fishing rod is missing, I hope she brings home some of that Pacific Salmon for me !!
 
I gonna be dere sooooooon! I loooooooooe pawties!!!!! Momma even said I could bring some chicken with strawberry balsamic and garlic oil! Itz a favorite in my house! I gonna git meh strawberry suit and I am on my way! ~Skooter

The party is in full swing. Neko and Tiger, our co-hosts, are doing a wonderful job organizing the festivities. Fishing is terrific. Wonderful to have fresh salmon sushi! The dancing has begun and the Blue Mannie Group sounds great. In a little while we are going to take the Skyride up Grouse Mountain to get a closer view of the moon and to try to catch a glimpse of our beloved GAs. We'll have our Circle of Remembrance on the mountain. I hope we can communicate with our pals at the Bridge, especially with the newest GAs, who we all miss.
Don't expect your kitties to be home any time soon. This party will go on until the dawn chorus!

Hey Rusty,
Thanks for making my Maggie (GA)'s famous cheesecakes with strawberries. She used to just love making this dessert for all the parties. What an awesome menu and party you all had together for the Full Strawberry Moon. My heart goes out to all who recently lost their beloved kitties. I hear the Circle of remembrance was so beautiful where everyone got a glimpse of their GA's.

Yo Kitties: that was a great Full Strawberry Moon Party! Neko and Tiger were terrific hosts. Thanks to all the kitties who brought special dishes for the feast. They are now official members of the Kitchen Krew. Next month we have TWO full moons: the Buck Moon (1 July) and a Blue Moon on 31 July. Camp Stu will be the venue for the Full Buck Moon Party. Suggestions for a venue for the Blue Moon Party are welcome.
