Full Snow Moon Party tonight for all sugarcats and civvycats!

Kitties All--

Let's gather together, sugars and civvies, for the Full Snow Moon! We'll be skiing, sledding, ice fishing, ice skating, and making snow cats! Gus can tell you more about where we'll be!

Of course there will be traditional favorites as purrpared by my mentor, Chef Rusty, and the Kitchen Krews of yore at Snow Moons past:

Appetizers: Hot Tuna Toddies; Icebreakers; Glüwein; Nip-infused Aquavit; Adirondack Microbrews; Paw Prints Assorted Pizzas; Spicy Buffalo Chicken Wings; Pickled Herring; 3-Cheese Fondue; Sushi Bar specialties of L&LL Sushi Chef Tux and featuring Chef Neko’s fabulous sushi rolls made with ice-caught Indian Lake fish.
Entrees: Grilled ice-caught Lake Trout (you catch 'em, we grill 'em); Brunswick Stew; Chef Rusty's Thunderin' Bison Chili with Fresh Salsa; Wild Turkey Casserole; BigMac's Burger Extravaganza; Chef Mannie's Renowned PNW Poached Sockeye Salmon with Catnip Mayo; NY style Hot Dogs with Everything.
Salads: Butthead's and Donny's Winter Greens; Confetti Slaw.
Desserts: Snow Cones; Tobey's Cimmamum Cookies; Maggie's Blue-Ice Cheesecakes; Apple Torte à la Chief Pastry Chef Tess; Surprise Snowy Dessert à la Dessert Chef Sootie; Chef Stu's World Famous Catmint Parfaits.
Apres-ski: French Toast and Flapjacks with Adirondack Maple Syrup.
Newer traditions include Bubba's MouseMousse; Leo's Chunky Tuna and Salmon Ice Cream with Sardine Sprinkles; Chef Felix's Sweet and Savory Crunchy Crouton Toppers; Olive's Shoelaceghetti with a side of pickles; TinySolé's sister Cookie's cod brownies filled with catnip; PussCatDusty's crispy birds feet served on baked catnip wafers (mmmmm, crunchy!) as well as her sweet and sour skink tail vol-au-vents & freeze dried plain yoghurt balls; Chef Felix's Mediterranean platter with crunchy falafel, catmint mewli-tabouli, and smoked papurrika hummouse; Chieflet Luna's Longtail Surprise à la Rosa and Regan. You'll find Bella's Catinis at the Tiki Hut.


Taster Blankets are spread for kitties who are grieving and for kitties who are too unwell for dancing and feasting, but you can snuggle in a blankie and we hope we can coax you to have a taste. Let Taster-Kitchen Liaison Roxi know what you think, so we can be sure everything is as tasty as my mentor Rusty would have made it. Taster Blanket Greeter Olive will be pouring the hot pumpkin rum toddies for kitties who need to "get things moving." Taster Blanket Coordinator Idjit is a legend in his own time for his compassion and his great dance moves; thanks to him and his team, the blankies are one of the purringest places at our parties.

The bright Snow Moon will give us all an excellent view for the Circle of Remembrance, when the veil thins between us and our beloved GAs at the Rainbow Bridge and we can purrceive them partying with us. It's always especially poignant when we spot dear friends there who were still on this side of the veil at the last full moon, as will happen tonight.

Chieflet Luna and I hope everyone has a fun-filled night as we cherish our purrecious time together.

We're busy working on the awesome menu in the kitchen! I hope chef Rusty would be happy with our efforts to meet his high standards for the party food. Roxi is all bundled up in a big coat because Mom gave her a lion cut to get all the mats out of her fur - but she's got lots of pockets to keep paper and pens in for her notes and she's busy running to and from the kitchen with requests and details of what all the taster blanket kitties think of our food. The kittens and Ruby are dancing as usual, showing off their moves as well as taking some time to learn ice fishing and ice skating from the older expert cats! I'm going to sneak away once everything is under control for a quick skiing lesson too! And Licorice is saving us a good spot for the Circle of Remembrance so we can see all the GAs, especially our very own Rosa and Regan. ~Luna

to hand over to Chef Felix!! :p

He spent all afternoon making himself extra fluffy because it’s so cold out and ended up getting himself in such an excited tizzy that he raised his BG’s and went from green to blue!!! I’m sure once he meets up with all his dear friends, he will calm him down a bit!! ;):cool::D
 
So that's what all that noise was about last night! Luci must have been dancing in her cast! I heard a lot of thumping around in the wee hours. I wasn't feeling well yesterday afternoon/evening but obviously Luci caught the info on the invite and didn't bother to tell me she was going...she never misses a pawty or a chance to look through the veils at the GA's. I'm sure she was saying hello to all of them...she seems pretty tired today - sleeping on the dresser in the guest room...it does appear after all to be her favorite spot for now.

Sounds like it was another fabulous pawty!
