Yo cats and kittens of all ages

It’s time for everyone to gather together for the full moon pawty! Tonight, we celebrate the full Hunter’s Moon! Of course there will be traditional favorites as purrpared by my mentors, Chef Felix, Chef Rusty, and the Kitchen Krews of yore at Hunter’s Moons past:

Appetizers: Adirondack Microbrews; Hot Tuna Toddies; Moon Broth; Sauteed Mouseballs in Nip Gravy; Chipmunk Fillets; Autumn Insect Crunch; Wild Mushroom Compote; Sushi Bar featuring the specialties of Sushi Chef Tux as well as Chef Neko's fabulous sushi rolls made with fresh-caught Lake Clear fish; Grilled Rabbit Kabobs; Assorted Paw Prints Pizzas.

Entrees: Wild Duck Gumbo; Pheasant Pot Pie; Roasted Wild Turkey; Brunswick Stew; Grilled Lake Trout. Chef Mannie's Renowned PNW Poached Sockeye Salmon with Nip Mayo; Chef Rusty's Thunderin' Bison Chili.

Salads: Butthead's & Donny's Adirondack Field Greens with Sunflower Seeds; Confetti Slaw; Chef Felix's Sweet and Savory Crunchy Crouton Toppers.

Desserts: Maggie's Signature Cheesecakes with Fresh Cranberries; Tobey's Cimmamum Cookies; Apple Pie à la Chief Pastry Chef Tess; Surprise Dessert à la Dessert Chef Sootie; Chef Stu's World Famous Catmint Parfaits.

Newer traditions include Bubba's MouseMousse; Leo's Chunky Tuna and Salmon Ice Cream with Sardine Sprinkles; Olive's Shoelaceghetti with a side of pickles; TinySolé's sister Cookie's cod brownies filled with catnip; PussCatDusty's crispy birds feet served on baked catnip wafers (mmmmm, crunchy!) as well as her sweet and sour skink tail vol-au-vents & freeze dried plain yoghurt balls; Chef Felix's Mediterranean platter with crunchy falafel, catmint mewli-tabouli, and smoked papurrika hummouse; Chieflet Luna's Longtail Surprise à la Rosa and Regan. You’ll find Bella’s catinis at the Bella Memorial Tiki Hut.

If you’re not feeling up to pawtying hard tonight, the Taster Blankets are set up and ready for you to relax on. They're the purrfect place to view the Circle of Remembrance at midnight, when the veil thins and we can purrceive our loved ones who have Gone Ahead partying with us. Olive’s Memorial Blanket can be found here too. Let Roxi know what you want to try, as well as anything you need to let the kitchen know about the food to make it as purrfect as possible..

“Ruby and the Kittens” are ready to entertain you and help you dance the night away. They’re starting to get into the Halloween spirit and are testing out parts of some new dances ahead of the Halloween Party. Come and join them on the dance floor – they love to have everyone join in!

DJ Molly will be playing all your favorite tunes. She’s taking requests, so let her know what you want to hear.

We’re having lots of fun already in the kitchen getting everything ready for you all. Head on over as early as you can to get this pawty started!

Check out our new aprons too – aren’t they fun?

Chef Luna

Civvie Gus is getting his hunting stuff together and putting on a bright orange hat so the hunterbeans won't shoot at him. He's looking forward to the party. He missed a few because his mamabean has been so busy that she forgot (!) the full moons. Gus plans to contribute a few chipmunks, squirrels, and mice to the menu dishes, but he's staying away from those wild turkeys. They are terrifying!
Chef Luna, the menu looks delicious. And the apron is beautiful.

Some chipmunks, squirrels and mice would be fabulous, Gus. And you'll be very easy to spot with your extra bright hat. We'll look out for you to keep you safe from hunters and those turkeys! ~Chef Luna

Ginger and Jackson are getting ready for the night out to party and see their friends.
Ginger said she wants to try the Chipmunk Fillet, and the Sushi Bar,
Jackson said he is looking forward to trying the Insect Crunch.
They both want to try the Rabbit Kabobs and Grilled Lake Trout and MouseMousse, and the cod brownies filled with catnip :cat:. I think they'll both be trying Bella's catinis:rolleyes:.
They can't wait to see J.D. and all their friends at the Rainbow Bridge.

Kitties! It's time to fill up your plates, charge your glasses, and enjoy the last few tunes before the music and the kitchen close temporarily for the Circle of Remembrance. I know so many of you are waiting for our special moments with our GAs, as I am. And the Bridge kitties are also making their preparations for the moment when we can see each other by the light of the full moon. Later, our pawty will resume and continue until dawn - I hope you all told your hoomans not to wait up for you! ~Chef Luna

My kitties really wanted to bring some chipmunks, which they see a lot of just outside the screened porch, but I had to say no. Those little folk will eat sunflower seeds from my hands.

Our current foster is a young kittyguy about a year old who is recovering from having a rear leg amputated (someone shot him:mad:). I told him to stay near the Taster Blankets, but I'm sure he's dancing. If he's fast dancing, probably no one will even be able to tell, but he'd be pretty tippy while slow dancing; at least his sutures are out now so he doesn't have to wear the lampshade on his head, wild party notwithstanding.

Poor thing. I'm glad he's doing better. :bighug::bighug::bighug:
