Yo cats and kittens of all ages

It’s time for everyone to gather together for the full moon pawty! Tonight, we celebrate the full Harvest Moon! Of course there will be traditional favorites as purrpared by my mentors, Chef Felix, Chef Rusty, and the Kitchen Krews of yore at Harvest Moons past:

Appetizers: Adirondack Moonbrews; Shine-on Niptinis; Bog Clams on the Half-moonshell; Chestnut Dip on Nip Crackers; Apple Fritters; Assorted Paw Prints Pizzas; Sushi Bar featuring the specialties of Sushi Chef Tux.

Entrees: Mouse-Harvest Bonanza Stew; Grilled Lake Trout with Rosemary; Wild-Turkey Burgers with Celeriac Fries; Roasted Grouse; Chef Mannie’s Renowned Poached PNW Sockeye Salmon with Catnip Mayo; Chef Rusty’s Thunderin’ Bison Chili with Moon Salsa.

Salads: Butthead’s & Donny’s Adirondack Field Greens and Arugula with Wild-Clover Garnish; Indian Lake Slaw; Chef Felix's Sweet and Savory Crunchy Crouton Toppers.

Desserts: Moon Pies; Apple Crisp à la Chief Pastry Chef Tess; Maggie’s Signature Cheesecakes with Adirondack Blueberries; Tobey’s Cimmamum Cookies; Surprise dessert à la Dessert Chef Sootie; Chef Stu’s World Famous Catmint Parfaits.

Newer traditions include Bubba's MouseMousse; Leo's Chunky Tuna and Salmon Ice Cream with Sardine Sprinkles; Olive's Shoelaceghetti with a side of pickles; TinySolé's sister Cookie's cod brownies filled with catnip; PussCatDusty's crispy birds feet served on baked catnip wafers (mmmmm, crunchy!) as well as her sweet and sour skink tail vol-au-vents & freeze dried plain yoghurt balls; Chef Felix's Mediterranean platter with crunchy falafel, catmint mewli-tabouli, and smoked papurrika hummouse; Chieflet Luna's Longtail Surprise à la Rosa and Regan; KitKat’s Duck pate stuffed cupcakes with catnip icing, served at mousie temperature. You’ll find Bella’s catinis at the Bella Memorial Tiki Hut.

The Taster Blankets are ready for any kitties not feeling up to too much activity, and we’ll find you a spot on them where you can enjoy the pawty in comfort. They're the purrfect place to view the Circle of Remembrance at midnight, when the veil thins and we can purrceive our loved ones who have Gone Ahead partying with us. Olive’s Memorial Blanket can be found here too. Let Roxi know what you want to try, as well as anything you need to let the kitchen know about the food to make it as purrfect as possible..

“Ruby and the Kittens” are ready to entertain you and help you dance the night away. They’ll be starting early so don’t hesitate to join them and dance all night.

We’re having lots of fun already in the kitchen getting everything ready for you all. Head on over as early as you can to get this pawty started!

Check out our new aprons too – aren’t they fun?

Chef Luna

I'm hoping I get to see the Harvest full Moon tonight. It's been raining here past couple of days, but we need the rain for the wildfires. I haven't had much luck in seeing the full moons this year. Alot of it because of the smoke from the fires. My favourite full moon is the harvest, I hope the skies clear for me to see tonight. Reminds me of the song by Neil Young " Harvest Moon". I'm sure Molly has a good view of the full moon. I still think of her daily, but the days are getting better.

I really like the apron, beautiful! I always enjoy the full moon and the circle of remembrance.

Our skies have actually cleared a little today after several days of cloud and rain, so I'm hopeful of seeing the full moon too. I think most of the fires in our area are out, so we can stand some dry weather right now. I'm sure, at the Bridge, it's always a clear night for the full moon. And yes, the days do get a little easier - we never stop thinking about them, but eventually the happy memories become the ones we recall most often. It helps a little. :bighug:

Gather round kitties. It's finally time for the most special time of the pawty - the Circle of Remembrance. The moon is so very bright tonight - maybe it feels brighter because we've had so much cloudy, rainy weather this week and the clouds have finally parted so we can see it. Or maybe it really is extra bright to give us a better view of our loved ones at the Bridge. We will all make the most of this special time with our GA loved ones before resuming our pawty and dancing and feasting until dawn. ~Chef Luna

Great party once again, Chef Luna and Krew! It has been raining here this evening, but the moon has been so pretty the last few nights. My kitties are bringing along our four 12-week-old foster kittens; they'll be alternating between dancing and partying harder than anybody, and then suddenly dropping in a pile for naps.

I remember D.J. Molly playing that song for the kitties on our side of the veil. I just put it on and am imaging Felix asking Molly to dance; he was pretty shy, but they're such good old friends. Two cute little sweet-faced orangies.

Oh how wonderful - some new babies to join the party. I wouldn't be surprised if some of the older kitties join the kitten pile for a nap here and there too! Ours certainly still love to sleep in a kitten pile at times, even though they're almost 5 now (I can hardly believe it's been so long since we brought them home).

I'm sure Felix and Molly are having a blast at the Bridge party. And I'm sure Felix has been able to overcome his shyness - he was always so popular with all the girls that if he can't ask them, they'll be asking him to dance.

I thought of you when I wrote the post yesterday. I also played the song last night, thought of my Molly, she knew the song well. It’s good to have good memories of them. I’m sure Molly and Felix were dancing last night at the bridge.
Still cloud cover here last night! Couldn’t see the moon.

We had a huge harvest moon here, I saw the flying kangaroos fly across it after they stopped to pick up George and the rest of the crew.

Two tabby kittens that found us a couple of weeks ago were really excited to be attending their first party.
George enjoyed watching all the dancing from the taster blanket, tapping his paws to the beat, I'm sure he had a niptini or two, and he especially enjoyed seeing his friends from across the veil.

I'm sure I'll hear more stories tomorrow once everyone has recovered from the festivities.
