Yo cats and kittens of all ages

It’s pawty time! Tonight, we celebrate the full Cold Moon! Of course there will be traditional favorites as purrpared by my mentors, Chef Felix, Chef Rusty, and the Kitchen Krews of yore at Cold Moons past:

Appetizers: Icy Cold Adirondack Microbrews; Hot Tuna Toddies; Roasted Squirrel Sausages; Spicy Buffalo Chicken Wings; Assorted Paw Prints Pizzas; Hot Pumpkin Soup with Crunchy Croutons specially made by Felix; Sushi Bar featuring the specialties of Sushi Chef Tux as well as Chef Neko's fabulous sushi rolls (made with ice-caught lake trout).

Entrees: Chef Rusty's Thunderin' Bison Chili; Grilled Wild Turkey Legs; Pan-fried Snowshoe Hare; Chef Mannie's Renowned PNW Poached Sockeye Salmon with Catnip Mayo; BigMac's Burger Extravaganza.

Salads: Butthead's & Donny's Braised Winter Roots; Hot Confetti Slaw.

Desserts: Moon Pies; Tobey's Cimmamum Cookies; Maggie's Signature Cranberry Cheesecakes; Plum Pudding à la Chief Pastry Chef Tess; Surprise Dessert à la Dessert Chef Sootie; Chef Stu's World Famous Catmint Parfaits.

Newer traditions include Leo's Chunky Tuna and Salmon Ice Cream with Sardine Sprinkles; Chef Felix's Sweet and Savory Crunchy Crouton Toppers; Olive's Shoelaceghetti with a side of pickles; TinySolé's sister Cookie's cod brownies filled with catnip; PussCatDusty's crispy birds feet served on baked catnip wafers (mmmmm, crunchy!) as well as her sweet and sour skink tail vol-au-vents & freeze dried plain yoghurt balls; Chef Felix's Mediterranean platter with crunchy falafel, catmint mewli-tabouli, and smoked papurrika hummouse; Chieflet Luna's Longtail Surprise à la Rosa and Regan. You'll find Bella's Catinis at the Tiki Hut.

For any kitties not feeling up to pawtying, the Taster Blankets including Olive’s Memorial Blanket will be set up away from the craziness for you. Roxi will be running notes back to me and the Kitchen Krew to make sure the food is as good as can be. The blankets have a great view of the Circle of Remembrance too, and all the other kitties will join you at midnight as the veil thins to see all our precious Gone Ahead kitties. We’re going to make sure there are plenty of extra blankets for everyone to snuggle in if they feel cold too. If anyone needs a blanket, we’ll be stashing them by the Taster Blankets.

Our very own in-house dance troupe, “Ruby and the Kittens” will be showing off their moves to entertain everyone. They tell me they’ve been working on a Christmas themed dance for everyone, so try to catch them in action if you can (and join in too – they love that. Lookin' at you Wilkie and Gus)!

DJ Molly will be playing all your favorite music and is ready to take requests for anything you want to hear.

So find your best pawty outfits and come join the pawty!

As always, we have new aprons for the pawty too. We all have quite the collection of aprons now, but we still love finding new ones for each Full Moon.

I know the kitties are all having a beautiful party and so much fun. Thank you, Chef Luna and everyone.

We said good-bye to civvie kitten Wilkie the day before yesterday and he has Gone Ahead to the bridge. He got an extra three happy months to be a kitten after his terminal diagnosis, and it has meant a lot to come here each full moon and tell him about all his friends on both sides of the veil.

Wilkie's favorite blankie had stars and planets on it, so DJ Molly, please play "Rocket Man" by Elton John.

I'm so sorry to hear it was Wilkie's time, but how wonderful that he had those happy months with you. And I hope you can think of him dancing with the Bridge kitties at each party. He has lots of friends to welcome him to the Bridge, and I know all of our cats consider him family because of the parties and will be looking out for him at the Circle.

Always so sad to see them go, specially little kitties! My little Peanut will be there for Wilkie and I'm sure he'll find a fluffy blanket full of stars and planets for him to sleep on and dream of you and for sure, they'll play together! :bighug::bighug:

Beautiful apron !!
My Ti-Mousse is always ready for this pawty. He's already gone, didn't wait for Josephine and Pepe this time. He wanted to be the first in line for the buffet..... But at midnight my three little ones will be there with me at the Circle, hoping to see lovely Peanut, Zoe and Ti-Gris who left us last year! :bighug:

I'm still really weepy--and your sweet comment got the tears flowing again! But I hope by next party I will be able to think of him dancing, which really does reflect his spirit.:bighug:

They will play together and then snuggle up together among the stars and planets!:bighug:

Gather round kitties. It's almost time for the Circle of Remembrance, so it's time for us to stop dancing and feasting for a little while to wait for the veil to lift so we can see all our GA friends and family pawtying alongside us. We have a few new GAs to look out for this month, so let's make sure to watch carefully and get to see all of them. Later, the music will resume and we'll pawty until dawn, but let's make the most of this most magical part of the pawty and enjoy our time with our GA loved ones. ~Chef Luna

I knew Luci had slipped off to the pawty last night...her mama gets too tired in the evenings to chase her around. I'm sure she had a great time, as usual...such a party girl! She seems exhausted this morning - she was there by the doorwall waiting to go out and look at the last of the moon moments this morning and is sitting out there now waiting as the sun peeks up over the horizon - finally chasing that cold moon away!

@Susan&Felix(GA) I'm so very sorry to hear it was little Wilke's time to cross over cat_wings>o...we are never ready, are we? No matter for how long or short those sweet furry babies stay with us, it's never long enough. Your heart will always hold a place for this sweet baby...memories forever. I'm sure he was having a blast with the other kitties last night - Luci was there for the midnight veil thinning...says everyone is well and happy over there...I do believe it's always exciting for all the kitties to come together on these occasions...

Take care everyone! :bighug:

Oh, Susan, I am so sorry that Wilkie had to journey to the Bridge at such a young age. He will make many friends there, and he will tell them about his loving mamabean.

@Susan&Felix(GA)

What a precious little love - Wilkie - a beautiful creation . . . Felix and Wilkie had such different lives, but an extraordinary connection - You, Susan. I hope next month will be a touch easier on you. Rocket Man was an awesome choice for music!

The moon parties are fantabulous . . . Tina has been going for more than two years (sometimes without telling me) and will not stop attending! She tasted absolutely everything on the menu:cat:

Hugs to all kitties and all who love them:bighug:
