Let's gather together, sugars and civvies, for the Full Buck Moon, also known as the Full Thunder Moon! Of course there will be traditional favorites as purrpared by my mentor, Chef Rusty, and the Kitchen Krews of yore at Buck-and-Thunder Moons past:
Appetizers: Adirondack Microbrews; Moontinis; Moonlight Cocktails; Wine Spritzers; Shrimp Cocktail; Turkey Rollups; Fondue; Assorted Paw Prints Pizzas. Sushi Bar manned by L&LL Sushi Chef Tux and featuring Chef Neko's fabulous sushi rolls made with the fish we catch.
Entrees: Hot dogs and Michigans; Big Mac's Burger Extravaganza with The Works; Grilled Lake Trout and Walleye; Chef Rusty's Thunderin Bison Chili; Chef Mannie's PNW poached Sockeye Salmon; Rat Pie.
Salads: Fiddlehead Fern Salad; Butthead's & Donny's field greens.
Desserts: Maggie's Blueberry Cheesecakes; Ice Cream & Tobey's Cimmamum cookies; Apple Torte a la Chief Pastry Chef Tess; Moon Pies; Surprise dessert a la Dessert Chef Sootie; Chef Stu's world Famous Catmint Parfaits.
Newer traditions include Leo's Chunky Tuna and Salmon Ice Cream with Sardine Sprinkles, Chef Felix's Sweet and Savory Crunchy Crouton Toppers, Olive's Shoelaceghetti with a side of pickles, TinySolé's sister Cookie's cod brownies filled with catnip, PussCatDusty's crispy birds feet served on baked catnip wafers (mmmmm, crunchy!) as well as her sweet and sour skink tail vol-au-vents & freeze dried plain yoghurt balls, and Chef Felix's Mediterranean platter with crunchy falafel, mewli-tabouli (with catnip instead of parsley), and smoked papurrika hummouse. You'll find Bella's Catinis at the Tiki Hut.
If you're not quite feeline up for feasting and dancing the night away, then Taster Blanket Coordinator Idjit, Taster-Kitchen Liaison Roxi, Taster Blanket Greeter Olive, and their helpers will find you a comfy spot on the Taster Blankets for quieter festivities and lighter fare.
The taster blankies are the purrfect place to view the Circle of Remembrance at midnight, when the veil thins and we can purrceive our loved ones who have Gone Ahead partying with us. Last year's Full Buck Moon was my mentor Rusty's first full moon at the Bridge; I sure do miss working with him on the Kitchen Krew. Tonight our dear old friend Deputy Squallie is going to be bringing a very, very special guest to the party at the Bridge.
Momma got me a new apron! It has orange kitties on it (she likes orange kitties). It also came with nifty forelimb guards. The fur hasn't fully grown in from where I had my IVs when I was in the hospital, so I 'purrciate being able to purrtect my forelimbs when I'm pulling croutons out of the oven.

I'm very excited to join the Krew and start learning all I need to know to be the most help I can be in the Kitchen! The menu looks yummy and I've had a big sleep ahead of the party so I have lots of energy to run around and help with everything. Roxi is, of course, here too ready for her liaison duties. And the kittens are all dressed in their party gear and ready to help entertain the kitties on the Taster blankets under their Mom, Ruby's supervision. Licorice sez she's going to hang out with some of the other cats she met while she was going to parties with Rosa and Regan. I'm so looking forward to this party - I love helping other kitties. And I get to see our dear Rosa and Regan who I've only been able to meet at the Circle but who Roxi sez were just as special while they were on dis side of da veil. ~Luna
