Full Buck (Thunder) Moon Party tonight! All invited

Hi all L&LL kitties! Tonight is the Full MOON--the "Buck", or "Thunder" moon. It is a tradition in L&LL to party every month when the moon is full. The food is great. The games and singing and dancing are fun. And the best part of the party is the Circle of Remembrance, when the L&LL kitties communicate with their GA friends, brothers and sisters who are now at The Rainbow Bridge. The GAs party too, and I suspect that the Bridge Kitchen will be humming tonight. Chef Rusty, newly arrived at The Bridge, has a message for his L&LL friends:

Yo Kitties, Rusty here,
Here at the Bridge, we will be partying with you tonight. The L&LL Kitchen is now in the capable hands of Chef Felix (@Susan&Felix), and he and his Kitchen Krew will be developing exciting new recipes and venues for parties. Tonight, however, I invite you all to party at Camp Stu, for old-times sake. Here's what we did last year.

"Yo Kitties,
The lake here at Camp is beautiful and we will have lots of fun swimmin', fishin', canoeing, dancin', singing. We'll have a canoe race to the rock that looks like a giant RAT! Then we'll jump off the rock into the water, get back into the canoes, and paddle back. We'll play water polo. We'll fish and grill our catch. We'll dance on the dock to the music of the Blue Mannie Group. Best of all, we'll have our Circle of Remembrance, when we communicate with our beloved friends, brothers, and sisters who have Gone Ahead.
All kitties invited. Bring your civvies, too.

Menu:
Appetizers: Adirondack Microbrews; Moontinis; Moonlight Cocktails; Wine Spritzers; Shrimp Cocktail; Turkey Rollups; Fondue; Assorted Paw Prints Pizzas. Sushi Bar manned by L&LL Sushi Chef Tux and featuring Chef Neko's fabulous sushi rolls made with the fish we catch.

Kitties All--

I am just a shy kitty, not a venerable host like my mentor, Rusty. But I will be there in the kitchen with your Kitchen Krew (we're hiring!) tonight, making the snacks for all who will gather together to celebrate the Full Moon and the Circle of Remembrance. I am excited and will be awed to see through the veil our Full Moon host Rusty with his mentor ... and his mentor ... and all those who have Gone Ahead long ago as well as those dear friends whose memories are still tears that haven't dried yet from our momma and pawpaw beans' cheeks.

The Kitchen Krew (we're hiring!) will follow tradition and will continue to purrpare yummy foods according to Rusty's menus, but as he said, we will also make new recipes and new traditions. So bring your signature dish! Or, if you'd like to learn to cook in our old-style traditions, we'll train you: we're hiring!

Pawty two nights in a row? Purrfect!!!

I couldn’t come last time to the moon pawty cause I wasn’t feeling well and could hardly walk. But now I feel great and my walking is almost as good as it used to be back in the day.

I’m not a very good hunter, I can’t swim or cook but I’m soft and cuddly and purr really loud!

I’ll be bringing chunky tuna and salmon flavored ice cream with a sardine toppings!

He didn't get to know the other L&L kitties very well, but his mom reads almost all the posts and tells him all about the ups, downs, antics and fun the others have. He has a very red apron, so you will know who he is, and he is also bringing his dancing shoes, just in case there are some lovely lady felines there willing to step out.

Idjit, maybe you could carry trays from the Kitchen to the feast tables--and go ahead and have a dance if you want while you're between trips. All the lady felines around here are so purrty, and more impurrtant, every single one of them is the kind of girl you could take home to your mother and your mother would love her.

Roxi, I'm going to put out a special picnic blanket for you and Licorice in a quieter place near the side entrance of the Kitchen. And you can help by being our Taster! We will bring you just one bite of everything to make sure it's up to Chef Rusty's standards. But your Mom can't get mad, because it's just one bite.

Kitties All! We have our first new tradition: the Taster Picnic Blanket! This is an area a little away from the dancing and whooping-it-up, but there's a good view for the Circle of Remembrance. The Taster Picnic Blanket will be a place for kitties who are grieving and for kitties who are too unwell for dancing and feasting (but we hope we can coax you to have Just One Bite). They don't have a Taster Picnic Blanket at the Bridge because no one there ever has to be sad or sick, but I'm sure the Bridge kitties will have extra sparkles and purrs for our TPB kitties.

Kudos to Chef Felix for jumping in and organizing this great Full Moon Party! The L&LL Kitchen is in good paws! Camp Stu is always available for L&LL parties and I'm certain that Chef Felix and his Krew will discover other great places for Full Moon parties, too. Past parties have been in the desert, on cruise ships, at the seashore, at ski resorts--all over the globe. Hey kitties, the Kitchen Krew is THE place to be! Sign on!! After some training and learning on the job you'll be sous chefs, specialty chefs, grill masters, bartenders. What fun you will have! And think of the good fuds!

The Full Moon is very bright here tonight in the mountains. We went outside to watch it and felt close to our dear Rusty. He always loved the Circle of Remembrance--that pause in the middle of a party when all the kitties are still and able to glimpse and communicate with their friends who had Gone Ahead. After the magical Circle, it is time to PARTY ON!

Olive loves the taster blankey . Perfect for her. She loves her fuds but doesn't have the stamina to stand or dance for more than a couple of steps. She wants to personally thank Rusty for bringing her to the U.S. and the catnippy pillow she has her head on everyday.

Idjit came in late, very very late or was it early this morning? He was "dog" tired from his serving duties and dancing in between. But he had such a beautiful cat smile on his face, he said the circle of remembrance was very special and touched his heart. Idjit, I'd like to purrmote you to Taster Picnic Blanket Coordinator. Whenever you need a dance break, just tag someone else on the waitstaff to keep an eye on the Tasters; you expressed so purrfectly how we all feel about them. We'll have several taster blankies available for the next party that you can set out for them as needed. I'm sure darker-furred kitties will purrfur light-colored blankies and lighter-furred kitties will purrfur dark-colored blankies, just like they do at home.
