Yo cats and kittens of all ages

It’s time for everyone to gather together for the full moon pawty! Tonight, we celebrate the full Buck Moon, sometimes known as the Full Thunder Moon! Of course there will be traditional favorites as purrpared by my mentors, Chef Felix, Chef Rusty, and the Kitchen Krews of yore at Buck Moons past:

Appetizers: Adirondack Microbrews; Moontinis; Moonlight Cocktails; Wine Spritzers; Shrimp Cocktail; Turkey Rollups; Fondue; Assorted Paw Prints Pizzas. Sushi Bar featuring specialties of Sushi Chef Tux, including Chef Neko's fabulous sushi rolls made with the fish we catch.

Entrees: Hot dogs and Michigans; Big Mac's Burger Extravaganza with The Works; Grilled Lake Trout and Walleye; Chef Rusty's Thunderin Bison Chili; Chef Mannie's PNW poached Sockeye Salmon; Rat Pie.

Salads: Fiddlehead Fern Salad; Butthead's & Donny's field greens; Chef Felix's Sweet and Savory Crunchy Crouton Toppers.

Desserts: Maggie's Blueberry Cheesecakes; Ice Cream & Tobey's Cimmamum cookies; Apple Torte a la Chief Pastry Chef Tess; Moon Pies; Surprise dessert a la Dessert Chef Sootie; Chef Stu's world Famous Catmint Parfaits.

Newer traditions include Bubba's MouseMousse; Leo's Chunky Tuna and Salmon Ice Cream with Sardine Sprinkles; Olive's Shoelaceghetti with a side of pickles; TinySolé's sister Cookie's cod brownies filled with catnip; PussCatDusty's crispy birds feet served on baked catnip wafers (mmmmm, crunchy!) as well as her sweet and sour skink tail vol-au-vents & freeze dried plain yoghurt balls; Chef Felix's Mediterranean platter with crunchy falafel, catmint mewli-tabouli, and smoked papurrika hummouse; Chieflet Luna's Longtail Surprise à la Rosa and Regan; Kitkat’s Duck pate stuffed mini cupcakes with catnip icing, served at mousie temperature. You'll find Bella's Catinis at the Bella Memorial Tiki Hut, together with tonight’s special item, Sardine Smoothies.

The Taster Blankets have been set up just a little away from the hustle and bustle, and we’ll find you a spot on them where you can enjoy the pawty in comfort if you’re not feeling up to dancing. They're the purrfect place to view the Circle of Remembrance at midnight, when the veil thins and we can purrceive our loved ones who have Gone Ahead partying with us. Olive’s Memorial Blanket can be found here too. Kitchen Liaison Roxi will make sure the quality of the food is everything you hope for.

Our very own in-house dance troupe, “Ruby and the Kittens” are already getting warmed up ready to dance the night away. They’d love to have you join in and dance with them. Maybe you can teach them your favorite moves too!

It’s time to get this party started! Head on over and join us for a day and night of fun!

Check out our new aprons too! Aren’t they awesome?

Chef Luna

I’m hoping the weather clears, so I can see the full moon tonight.
DH and I were camping, this past weekend for Canada Day. Molly was mentioned again. It bothered us this weekend not having her there. But the same colour butterfly was around. I finally was able to get a picture of it.
We’ve been without Molly now for 5 months, we still think about her everyday.
I look forward to each month for the full moon, circle of remembrance.
I should mention my parents cat Oscar. He crossed the rainbow bridge June 7. He was also 9 years old. I hope he found Molly at the bridge

I get it - I really do. Especially when we're doing something for the first time that we used to do with our cats, it brings it all back no matter how much time has passed. I'm so glad you managed to get a picture of the butterfly this time though - hopefully you will be able to look at that picture and smile when you're missing your sweet Molly the most.

I'm truly sorry for your parents' loss. But I know Oscar will have had a huge welcome at the Bridge and that he'll be having so much fun with his old friends as well as many new ones. :bighug:

Hoping my sweet so lovely Ti-Mousse will be there; I miss him so so much, 6 months now since he left me...

Little Juliette will be going dancing tonight for the first time; she spent all afternoon trying on dresses and pants..... "how about this one? Isn't it too old fashioned? How about this one? Maybe a little too .......??" Hope she finds something she likes, she is so pretty I can just imagine all the guys watching her when she gets there !!

Thanks @manxcat419 for taking care of this monthly get together; I wish more people would attend but I guess the ones who do really need it!!:bighug:

Ti-Mousse will be there for sure. None of our GAs ever miss a party! I don't think the missing them ever goes away completely - I'm at almost 7 years for Rosa and 5 for Regan...and some days the memories can still bring me to tears. But not quite as often as they used to - it gets a little easier with time.

The gang are looking forward so much to meeting Little Juliette at last! I'm sure she'll have plenty of attention from the boys at the party. And I hope she's brought her dancing shoes!

I agree - those who need the parties are here as often as they can be. It may not be as many as there used to be, but as long as people want and need them, they'll be here every month. :bighug:

I’m sure jinx will enjoy the taster blanket as he’s a shy boy. He loves dairy so is excited the most for those items on the menu :cat:
My Regan was a dairy lover too. She was never diabetic - it was her twin, Rosa, who had that honor. But any time there was cream, ice-cream, yogurt or milk to be had, Regan would be trying to get her face in the food! She would always steal some of my dessert on the days we had some. And I always let her - I know we're always told not to let pets lick our food, but I did it for years and I'm still here (although possibly not entirely sane, but then was I ever?)

Gather round kitties - it's that most special time of every Full Moon pawty. It's time for the Circle of Remembrance. The sky is so clear and the moon is so very bright - we're going to have a wonderful view of the pawty at the Bridge tonight. We have friends new and old to welcome at the Bridge and I can already see that all the newcomers there are surrounded by friends and love. Our festivities will resume soon and continue until dawn. But now we make the most of the time we have with our beloved GAs. ~Chef Luna.

Before jinx was diabetic I would give him little licks of yogurt. He always wanted more.
