My Molly has been a diabetic since December 2018. I'm frustrated today because. This morning she was low and at lunch super high WHY?. It's a bounce well I don't understand why so high. I didn't give her insulin this morning. I work and can't be home to monitor. It's been up and down up and down. While other cat's go into remission. What am I doing wrong? :(

Adrienne, sorry about that high BG at +6. Any possibility she got some contraband high carb food from other pets, or human food even out of the trash? Some of the kitties here are accomplished at finding and getting at so many forbidden foods.

In any case, you might want to post in the Lantus forum so that the experienced Lantus users can review and perhaps have some input.

Come to think of it. I test her at the table and I seen her licking off beet juice off of the place mat this morning? I don't know where to go to post at the Lantus site.

The Lantus forum is HERE. Lots of good info in the stickies at the top. Wonderful responsive and supportive fellow Lantus and like insulin users.

I don't know that you are doing anything wrong, but let them take a look at the spreadsheet and see what they think.

depending on the variety, some of the canned or frozen beets are surprisingly high in sugar

DH likes beets and I have to watch it, since he has type 2 diabetes -- so far handling it with diet and pills
