I'm worried that Frodo's numbers seem to be edging a little higher. At what point is it enough of a worry to restart him on Lantus? He usually comes down some by late afternoon, but today only to 115 from 138 at am. Another factor is that he's on a small dose of cyproheptadine for poor appetite. Today it didn't seem to be working at all until I gave up at 3 p.m. and gave him another 1/4 tab. At which point he ate well, which probably pushed up his am+9 reading. The 165 reading am 10/22 was a bit of a shock - possible that he had eaten some, but only lo-carb food, in the early am.
I don't want to just let this ride, if it looks like he'd be better off on a small dose of Lantus. He's not going shockingly high, but not nice and low either. And I've got kidney issues and possible HyperT to also worry about.
