After 4 years of Frisky fighting diabetes I had to have her put to sleep this morning. She had developed breast cancer over the last few month and it spread very quick. On Monday she started showing sign of some pain. Yesterday she stopped eating and drinking, and this morning she tried to drink some water but could not hold it down. I got her to the vet this morning but there was nothing more they could do for her. The cancer was too great. I knew this day was coming at some point but it is still the hardest thing I have ever had to do.
All though I don't post here often. I thank everyone on this board for all the helpful links and all the kindness you show here. When I was told that Frisky had diabetes I had no clue what to do, But I found this board and got a crash course in how to handle it. The vet was so impressed with how much I had learned in such a short time that she now send people to the board to help them. She was also a big fan of me home testing.
I'm sorry if this was a little winded but it has help me deal with loosing a big part of my life. Frisky was 15 years old and had a good life.
