A quick check in. We are still on the lowered dose of 1.4 to clear the bounce as vet recommended. We have had 300s and 400s all day. Never have had such terrible numbers for so long ever. It’s very worrisome. Asher seems sluggish. I did talk to the vet again today and he said if he stays in these high numbers over the weekend we can raise Asher’s dose. I’m gonna take that as if saturday is bad we can raise sunday. I really think these numbers are not bounce since he is in them all day. I think he just needs more juice right now. But we are trying this to see if it helps and I am really trying to be patient. I just have a feeling we have lost any momentum we had and we’ll be back up to 3 units in no time. Very depressing.

I just got home from a long gig today so I have to sign off, no more energy left to give. Hope you guys all had good days. Congrats to Kim on the orinch baby!

I’ll let you guys know what’s up over the weekend once I get some sleep.

I can understand the feeling over losing any momentum that you have had. Not much to offer but I'm sure it gets better. One cycle is all it takes to change things around. Stay positive.

I know shakes does not feel good when he is in those numbers too!
I am with you on upping the dose by tomorrow if he doesnt get better tonight
I hate to see you lose too much momentum

Thinking of you and Asher and hope his numbers start to improve.
Sounds like an increase is warranted on Sunday if hes still running high and flat, just don't increase too much too fast.
Hang in there...believe I know its hard to when you feel like your'e making no headway in getting the numbers down.
 
Thanks everyone. I am SO trying to be patient. But the high numbers continue and I feel like I am not helping him by shooting so little insulin. I feel like I am not taking action and that I am being negligent. But I know it takes awhile for the hormones to clear. And he was going low on this dose a few days back. Hard to get my mind around.

I hate seeing him be sluggish tho. I think I may have to shoot more tomorrow. It is very depressing for me. I know I am probably being over sensitive about it.

Oh Donna, sorry you're struggling, probably more than Asher.
Alex had a couple of picture perfect days and this morning, he's back up to 479. Go figure!

Hang in there. Things will improve.
 
I totally understand how you feel, Donna. I keep wanting to rush Poopy's dose and keep getting reminded it's a marathon, not a sprint. (Sometimes I hate that saying!)

We want our babies to feel good and be healthy. Is that too much to ask? :YMHUG:
