Chianti is remaining very hard to feed. He only wants fish (I know :( ) or the purebites chicken.

Are there other acceptable freeze dried options out there? And are any of them crunchy?

Have you tried Stella and Chewy's? It's low carb and you have the choice of leaving it dehydrated or adding water

Natures Variety has a Freeze Dried Raw too...I'm not sure about the carb percentage but their regular raw is low carb so I'd think the freeze dried stuff would be OK

All that being said, Chianti's going to be much healthier if you can get more water in his diet. Diabetics are already prone to problems with their kidneys, so the more water you can get into them, the better

I know the wet is better and that is pretty much what he gets but he only wants fish if it is wet. I'm thinking about trying the stella and chewy's and seeing if I can trick him by slowly rehydrating it, that is assuming he will eat it dry. I tried putting his purebites on a nonfish wet today and he looked at me to communicate that that kind of crap wouldn't fly around here.

You might also drip/spray a water mist on the dry food, a little more each day or two.
