Primal Pet is awfully expensive so not worth the cost. It only comes in a 14 oz bag and costs $35
Stella and Chewy's is more affordable, about $20 for a 12 oz bag and $1.99 for a pouch. Both the regular and the new small pouches are kibble-shaped. The pouch ones are smaller shaped so that the food turns sort of canned-food like when water is added.
Don't feed The Honest Kitchen. It's powdered dehydrated raw food that is not suitable for diabetics because the food is starch heavy though grain-free.
There are other brands of freeze dried raw foods out there but many are not 100% complete diets so read the label closely. Nature's Variety is one brand but they do also make 100% complete frozen raw food.
Get friendly with your local independent non-chain pet store/boutique - the employees or owner may give you a discount on their products (like Stella and Chewy's) if you shop there frequently and let you know of upcoming sales and even if a industry rep will be there to give away samples and promote a product

Can this kibble shaped food be used like dry in a feeder if I go away for a day? Sounds like a possibility ??? Boy, that would be nice !
Since freeze dried raw can be fed dry, I see no reason at all why you wouldn't be able to use it in a feeder for a day. One day of dry freeze dried raw isn't going to cause any health issues (my two cents on that nailbite_smile ). I would try to leave some canned food out as well, perhaps frozen canned food so that it doesn't dry out quickly. If you need to be away for more than a day, I suggest using just canned food and have someone come by daily to fill the feeder as needed and make sure the cats are ok.
Edit: Wanted to add that even though the above mentioned freezed dried raw foods are 100% complete can be fed dry (long term if you wanted to nailbite_smile ), it is best to rehydrate the food for a few minutes in water before serving. That way your cat is getting plenty of water. Dr. Lisa's web site Catinfo.org goes into more detail why water is important. A few pieces of freeze dried raw or any dry treat after bg testing is fine of course
