Freestyle Lite Testing Strips For AlphaTrak 2 Monitor

Has anyone had success with using the Freestyle Lite testing strips in the AlphaTrak 2 monitor? I read some reviews on Amazon that claim they were as accurate as using the AlphaTrak 2 strips. Obviously I am looking at this from a monetary standpoint since the Freestyle Lite strips are about $20 cheaper and I am testing several times a day which quickly adds up. Thanks in advance.
 
Most of us just use a less expensive, human monitor and pet-specific reference numbers.
 
Yes, I have the human monitor too. I've used it in the past. To make it easier on everyone involved in my cat's care, we are all using an AlphaTrak 2 monitor for now. But, I appreciate your suggestion. Thank you.
