freestyle lite lancet defect

Just a heads up incase it has happened to anyone else

I randomly kept having a really hard time testing James and getting enough blood, I couldn't figure out what was going on. It also seemed like it was hurting him to test which was not happening before.

It turns out that a handful of the lancets I got didn't have points to them. I contacted the company to let them know but they didn't seem to really care about the issue to be honest.

They did open up a case and I will be sending the product back to them to investigate, but they didn't seem to think it was a big deal.

That is a big deal. Of course that would hurt. They need to be responsible for that. Can you buy a different product?

I plan on switching the lancets and I'm using a magnifying glass to check the ones I have for now. I'm going to go through the whole box tomorrow and see how many there are. There is a chance it was only the one...but there were a few times I had trouble getting enough blood. I assumed it was because I was new and doing something wrong. Now I'm not sure. I'm very lucky that James is so cooperative but I feel terrible.
