There have been many discussions about this over time and it's fair to say that opinion is divided. I think it's easiest for you to just switch completely to a human meter and become familiar with how it reads. Everyone here understands human meter numbers, the guidelines are written for human meter numbers and you'll save a lot of money on test strips. The Walmart ReliOn brand is popular and the Micro or Confirm models take as tiny a blood drop as the AlphaTrak. Another bonus is the boost you'll get from seeing less red and pink on your SS because the meter reads lower, especially at the high end of BG.

Okay I do have a human meter I am using that as a back up because I received 100 Alpha Test strips in a donation I will switch after these are gone I do not want them to expire THank You!!
