Free libre sensor problem

I have had two sensors in a row break. The first just stopped and the reader said replace sensor. The second kept reading a flat number over 300. It took me two days to realize it is the sensor not my kittys bg. Scary

The replace sensor error usually happens when the filament that goes into the skin get loos in the skin or comes out of the skin. That is usually caused by movement of the sensor like from the cat scratching the sensor or applying it in a location excessive movement like over a bony area.
The second problem of same reading I have not seen that discussed before.
You can try calling Abbot and they should send you a nen sensor especially for the second problem. Just do not tell them it is for a cat. When I had to talk to meter companies I say I am a caretaker and never say what a am taking care of.

Thank you. It was bad because I believed the high readings which could not have been real. Didn't respond to insulin.. I did call the company and they are sending another one. I feel bad because she has to go back to the vet again. I didn't tell them it was for my kitty. Thank you. We are going in a few hours. She will be very mad at me.
