UPDATED AT BOTTOM OF THREAD
+6 during the night was 110....he's had the poopies....bad batch of FF? Not eating well, understandably. Stalling. I have to go to work in 30. If he doesn't eat. NS. Happy about the numbers!

There's no dose listed on the ss for last night, but i'm thinking you gave him a shot.

Fingers crossed for a not-too-high pmps for you tonight!

AMPS 401 . Yeah he's missed a couple of doses the last few days, due to he's feeling puny, not eating. I'm hoping it's a bad batch of FF. I'm feeding a different batch today. Salmon feast. But all he ate is a little turkey bacon. I gave him a shot with the turkey bacon. I gotta go back to work. I hate leaving my sick kitty at home.

ah, that's good to know. Go ahead and mark the dose column with something like "skip" so we know it's not just that you forgot to put it in. It matters when it comes to making dosing decisions.

We encourage people to start a new thread every day and just link the previous day's thread. It helps keep things manageable.

Have a great day at work. Hopefully when you come home he'll be perkier and have more of an appetite. :bighug: Could he have gotten into something bad and eaten it - like not cat food but something else?

He just barfed up the turkey bacon and some oat grass that he likes to munch on. Hope he gets past this. He hasn't eaten anything else. Someone said pumpkin helps?

Pumpkin helps with constipation/diarrhea because it provides fiber. Not with vomiting.

There are meds like Ondansetron and Cerenia that help with nausea and vomiting. You might need to call your vet if this doesn't pass soon.

what's his blood sugar like right now? I'm thinking that if he doesn't have any food in him and he got his regular shot, and you're going off to work, that could be a problem.

+1 @ 297 ...I'm wondering if I should leave out some of the Royal Canine Diabetic dry. He hasn't had it in months, but if his FF is making him sick?I'm leaving in 45 min. Back at 7 pm. SS updated.

I'm not sure I'd blame the food. Maybe something else is going on. Pancreatitis can make cats really sick and is very common among diabetic cats. I wonder if he's having an episode of it. Here's the Primer on Pancreatitis.

All too often, it seems, we see a member post that, suddenly, Kitty is not eating well and seems “off”. Kitty might seem lethargic, the blood glucose (BG) may have increased, he/she might be sitting in a meatloaf position, hiding, and/or generally does not seem “right”. Perhaps Kitty also vomits. With symptoms like these, it’s possible that kitty has pancreatitis and a vet visit is in order.

He's out and about. Seems fine. Purring. Snuggled with me this morning in bed. I'm certain the spike was due to missing doses and when he barfs a hairball it seems to be higher. I'll try to come home in a few hours to check on him.

I put out 1/4 cup diabetic dry and he's eating. I might leave him a little more while I'm out. I won't worry so much about his BS dropping today. He has water dripping in the tub always. Thanks !!!

I'm thinking pancreatitis as well. Something is making him nauseous. You need to get on top of it quickly. Will your vet give you some cerenia without having to bring him in?

+5 @ 296 didn't eat the diabetic dry I left for him, but he did eat 1/4 before I left this morning.... no poopies in the box. He's just chillin. Not lethargic. He ate a little turkey cold cut off my sandwich.

Baby food that's just meat and broth (no onions) is easy on the tummy. Maybe offer him a tablespoon of that every half hour or so.
Sending eating vines to your boy.

Fred is still not feeling well. Not eating much, couldn't shoot much, the last couple of days. I switched from FF to Whiskas pate tonight and he ate 1/2 the container. Hope he keeps it down. Tried to shoot him tonight, he was very cranky. Tried to pick him up, he growled and hissed. Somethings not right. The only good thing the last couple of days is he snuggled with me in bed this morning and purred. Vet tomorrow. So worried.
Thanks y'all.

a cat with pancreatitis can have a tender abdomen. I'd ask for your vet to run a Spec fPL test, Jamye. Take a look at the pancreatitis primer that I linked above - it'll help you be prepared with questions to ask.

hugs! let us know how the vet appointment goes. Sending our best wishes with you.
