I unfortunately slept through every one of my alarms tonight (bad mummy) and from a PMPS of 403 at +7.5 he was 52. As I am on AT meter he is due a reduction now as he is below 68. Is that right? I have just fed him HC food as below 67 is hypo territory I was told the other day. He will probably bounce to the moon tomorrow and if he is at AMPS I will shoot through the bounce and reduce in the afternoon. Is that ok?

Congratulations on the reduction!!

You'll want to feed a little HC and retest in about 30 minutes and if he's above 68 then, maybe give a little regular low carb and test again in 30 to make sure he stays up....then one more test in an hour

Of course if he's still below 68, you'd give him a little more HC until he's safely above and then test until you get at least 2 rising numbers after that

I did feed him HC food and his next test is due in 10 minutes. He seems fine, alert and purring. He was pleasantly surprised as the extra food tonight. As long as he doesn't think it's the new norm and keep pestering me in future!

Congratulations on the reduction. Tuxie has been very pleased with the extra food yesterday and today as well. Maybe our kitties do these dives so they can get extra yummy food..hmmm!!

You know, I think they do. I know Rosa seemed to be addicted to PJ parties and being spoon-fed gravy for a while - it really does make you wonder when they start doing it regularly!!

When he's this low, you should test every 30 minutes. You don't want him any lower, you want him up over 3.8 (68).

Congrats on the reduction. After those middle of the night tests, Neko heads straight to the kitchen, whether or not she's low enough to get the good stuff.

When Tuxie sees me going to the pantry to get "the tinned food" you can almost see him rubbing his little paws together. Little bugger!

Frankie has gone up to 8.1 (146). Oops, seems like I overdid the HC food. But at least I can sleep again!
