I am feeding all cats wet food but they do not lik it too well. What do you all think about FortiFlora. I read somewhere that they love it. Thanks

I use FortiFlora to encourage 18YO Ennis to eat. My 2YO civie likes it so much she digs into the box for a packet and chews it open.

Two thumbs up.

I've never used FortiFlora before but I've heard that it really works to get cats to eat. The animal digest in the FortiFlora is really really appetizing to cats.

Your cats may need time to get used to eating canned food. Have you tried mixing a few treats into the canned food? Crumbled up freeze dried meat treats work great. Crumbled up freeze dried raw also works. I mixed freeze dried raw into commerical raw nuggets to transition my newest civie to raw food.

I used it when Tony started Leukeran - he wasn't interested in eating. I sprinkled it on his food and he ate willingly. I now crush his ursodiol and mix with about a tsp of food and Fortiflora to ensure that the med all gets eaten. Then just put the rest of the can in the bowl off to the side. So far, it works well. At worst, it does no harm. At best, it accomplishes the mission. You can usually get a few packets for about $1 each to try from the vet. I paid $18 for a box of 36 (I think its 36), but you might not need a whole box.

You can sprinkle about 1/5th of a packet on top of the food as a flavor enhancer. Pretty expensive
though to use long-term.

HALO makes flavor enhancers such as "Dinner Party Wild Salmon with herb seasoning Delicious Protein
Sprinkle" Basically ground-up dried salmon. Comes in Chicken also.

Look on-line because I forgot where I got mine.

One of my cats loved FortiFlora, but she got it for diarrhea and not inappetance.

In my other cats, I've had tremendous success with Stewarts Pet Food Enhancer, and the dust from Beefeater's Freeze Dried Salmon. I used to get the Stewarts from Amazon, but now I can only seem to get if directly from the manufacturer, Miracle Corp. My IBD/kidney cat would probably eat less than half without the combo of the two above.
