hello everyone ! Can someone please link me to the safe food list? Need to go shopping right now and I can't find my list

Do you mean 8% carbs? With skittles being I'm remission and he ate half a can of food not under 10 carbs ONCE will it throw him out of remission? he hasn't, just wondering
It will be 8% or less calories from carbs, yes. A one off meal might make him throw a higher number soon afterwards, but a half can of higher carb food just once shouldn't break a remission unless he was already heading towards needing insulin again. I wouldn't let it happen often, but just test him a couple of times to make sure he's good and mark it up to experience. :)

His SS is up to date expect for the 13th, haven't put that one in yet but it was 91.
The highest carbs he has ever gotten since Nov was 11 and that's because I thought it was a 10 carb can. Another then that one can ( Mixed grill pate) all the rest are a lot lower) I don't know how I got mixed grill pate on my list. He has been eating it this whole time.
Reason why I'm asking is because I haven't made it to the store , going this afternoon . So he might have to have a at least 1/2 can of even higher carb until I get back or go without anything. I've never had this happen.
He hasn't had any insulin since Dec 4 or 5 ( it's on his SS)
I just can't throw his off and he come out of remission . He is getting so sick of eating the same pate so I got more stuff written down from the first list in this thread since he has had 10 carbs or less this whole time ( expect the 11 cards which might explain the days he was at 111...once again SS )

He ha been eating Friskies ( all pate) chicken , mixed grill and liver & chick . Not a big seafood fan. Last week he did have tune & cheese flaked.

He might not be all that carb sensitive if he's been eating Mixed Grill. Rosa was eating it just fine too - it didn't seem to affect her numbers at all - the only reason I stopped giving it to her was because the phosphorus in Friskies is too high for her CKD. I wouldn't give him carbs regularly, but I think a lot of cats probably manage to get hold of some carbs on occasion without it causing any real harm.

I'm still to new to the dance to know for sure, but definately agree with manx that surely half a can of 11% wont sabotage his remission by itself. I'm sure if he was eating it everyday that wouldnt help him any though. I have a few cans of it that came in a 24 pack that I plan on keeping in case Cooter needs a little stabilizing during a cycle.

I know how you feel with Skittles getting tired of the same flavors, running into that a little here. Would like to throw some Sheba or Whiskas in the mix if I could find them on a safe list somewhere.
It would be great if they would eat the same kind every meal, would be easier to see how affected by carbs they are, but I know I couldnt stand eating the same thing every meal every day, so can't blame the kitties for it!

Sadly, the only thing that my 2 would eat every day with no complaints was their old dry food. Completely unsuitable of course, but for some reason they didn't care that it was the same thing every day. As soon as we switched to wet food, then they started getting picky...and what suits them fine one day gets the sort of look that would leave you thinking I'm trying to poison them the next!!
