Good morning
First I want to thank the website- it was extremely helpful 2 years ago when Nikki was diabetic.
And on insulin. He had the fortune of being off insulin for the past 2 years .
Recently he had to go back on a bit daily.
He had remained on the DM during that time and had gotten into a routine of eating some a few times a day and in middle of night.
We really want home to get back to eating 2 times a day- right before he gets his insulin.
What could I give Nikki in between to take the edge off- he is relentless with the pawing for me to give him a snack especially at night
He lives Cat Sip which is a digestible milk ( contains a lactose enzyme) and also loves dehydrated chicken( that is what helped him get onto the D M ( which was suggested by a respnse on this website - thank u).
My ? Is would cat sip or and dehydrated chicken b an ok snAck.
Thank u

That would be OK. The thing to remember is to feed consistently every day. Some users think it is better to feed several small meals during the day vice just two meals, again, just be consistent.

Thank you for the reply
I have another question- Nikki is on 1 unit lantus twice a day
Why is it that he is at his best about an hour or 2 before he gets his next shot ?

What do you mean by "at his best "?
