Hi all,
My two fur babies have thrown up atleast 3times this month from Fancy Feast classic pates. And I mean, intense mounds. Also their litter boxes are very, very smelly. I read some others having trouble with FF lately too! So I really want to switch to something else and I’d love to know what your cats favorite are. I tried some of Dave’s but they don’t seem to like it that much :( thanks in advance!

I have not had that experience with the Fancy Feast, but have had to reduce the amount of food at a time, as well as increase number of smaller meals for Idjit. It seems he is a bit of a glutton and will gobble, then spew. We also feed Friskies pates, all lower than 7 percent carbs.

I feed my girls Weruva Chicken Frick A' Zee. I gave the Fancy Feast Classic Chicken Feast and Sheba Perfect Portions Chicken when I was first transitioning them to wet. Those were the only foods they would eat much of at the time, but once they had been eating wet awhile, I was able to get them to switch. I was not thrilled with some of the ingredients in those other foods, especially the FF. The girls had 'issues' while eating them, too. Constipation was a problem, and when they did poop, it just was not right. Willow even ended up with a ruptured anal sac (which is horrible). I also think there may have been some sensitivities/allergies to some of the ingredients. The hair thinned out above Mia's eyes and she started scratching herself so that she had sores there and on her chin. Getting them off the FF seems to have cleared up all of those issues.

if they don't mind small minced pieces, we switch our FF pate only lovers to American Journey minced turkey in gravy and the chicken & turkey in gravy and they love them. Even though they have gravy in them, they are low carb (2% wet carbs / 9% dry carbs < one that matters). no throwing up and no more poops smelling like they were pooping FF since!
