? FOOD RECOMMENDATIONS HELP-1/8 Bubbas AMPS 233 PMPS 348

Would like some help/advice. I’ve been noticing that even though Bubbas gets 4 cans of his fancy feast pate a day..which is close to 400 calories, he is still losing weight. Not as fast as before of course, but at this rate if his weight keeps dropping, he’s going to get dangerously skinny. Even when he saw his primary care doctor back in September, he weighed 13.4 (he’s now around 12.6) she said she wants him to gain some weight. So I would like some advice on some more high calorie food for him. He is VERY picky. One day he’ll like one flavor, then the next he won’t touch it and I have to go out and buy him another flavor of food and pray he’ll eat it. He’s never been like that before until his diabetes. It’s also tricky because I think he’s allergic also to fish flavor food, so I can’t get anything with any fish in it. It’s just getting frustrating and I really want to find a higher calorie food that he will actually like and stick to. At this point I have to add a little bit of fancy feast gravy to his food about every other day just so he’ll eat his pate.

I have seen some good things about tiki cat after dark flavors..I think the chicken pate and the chicken and beef pate have no fish and seem decently higher in carbs (the 5.5 oz ones). Overall, does anyone know of a non fish pate food that is higher in calories? More than like 75 calories for a 3.3 oz and more then 180 or so for a 5.5 oz..that’s about how much I’m seeing but I want more calories then that.

Some of the Wellness, or Wellness Core products used to be over 200 calories per 5.5 oz can, at least on Dr. Lisa's food list. I'd have to check to see if that's still true. Kitten varieties also tend to be higher calorie.
